Hush! Be quiet, do you hear?
The danger lurking, always near
A shadow passes, wind in hair
Something evil in the air

Down the road, I'm almost home,
But in the dark a shadow roam
Terror mounting in my mind,
It clouds my thoughts and makes me blind

Blind to all but what I see
Two bloodshot eyes, so mad with glee
This monster will eat well tonight

Is this the place I die?


The moon is standing solemn guard
It’s bathing us in light
One of us man, but only half
With fur so black and teeth so white

But what is this, a slight reluctance?
I should be dead by now
But there it stands, this horrid wolf
With sorrow on his brow

And now I see, I get it now
He's so misunderstood
He spends his days in solitude
Deep in the cold dark wood

I feel my heart is breaking up
This creature needs someone
A friend to share the hate and fear
For people all and all folks near
Will blame the wolf for all crimes done


Hated, shunned, abused by peers
This beast has not been hugged in years!
Has never felt the sweet embrace
A mothers love, a soothing face


Gone the fear, the hate and lies
Replaced by friendship, how time flies!
When on the back of your new friend
You race into the night
