I've only had to start doing it recently. I used to just leave chats open until the person left the chat or went offline but with the amount of people trying to talk to me at the same time lately, I can't do that anymore. (Seriously, last night I had 5 people start messaging me within 10 seconds of each other. Do they plan it out that way or something???)

Oh that. I'd copy+paste it but I already closed the conversation. I've had to start closing inactive conversations lately on Steam or I end up with 10 conversations opened at once...
