I think you need to look up the direct definition of 'argument'.
An argument is when 2 or more people present a
reason or set of reasons with the aim of persuading
each other, or others that an action or idea is right or wrong.
Which is exactly what was going on in the thread.

The reason I want to silence it, is because I don't want more 5 page arguments _{(if you have a problem with the word 'argument' I will use 'discussion' when talking to you)}, I've had enough of them already.
