Another idea that might work is leaving a note on your parent's pillow while they're showering that says everything about your feeligs, with an extra bit at the bottom that asks them to text you, and go on a walk.

Burst into the room and yell "HEY GUYS, GUESS WHAT!?"

My method was texting my mom.
I know it's weak but if you're as nervous as I was then that is a much easier solution.
