I don't think modern music is "bad". I admit it (again, sounds like a lame excuse), I only said that because I thought it was what most people thought. I didn't get the reaction I wanted, as you can see.

Regarding my last post, I only said "yes, it has" because music is completely subjective, and some people really think that modern music sucks. I, however am not one of these people, I only think that modern music is different than older music (for obvious reasons), not better or worse. I apologize if I gave the wrong impression.

I also apologize for this insufferable need I have to find excuses for everything

I agree. Do you think that if Mike Love hadn't been a supposed dick that SMiLE would have been released?

Well I'm currently listening to a bootleg version using the mixes from the boxset... To me, it sounds like the SMiLE The Beach Boys would have released...
