Hey man! I performed the first movement of Mozart's Quartet in Eb on Monday, and I've received the sheet music for my new quartet group. I was first vln in Mozart, which means I'm 2nd vln in this piece. It's Prokofiev's String Quartet No. 2 Mov III! Here's a fairly good recording of it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pCLk0...eature=related

    Excellent recital by the way.

OK I'm on wifi for the first time in a week. Our first orchestral program will be performed in 2 weeks in Ozawa Hall and will include Tchaik 6 and Sensemaya. (Nothing is better than an excellent brass and percussion section). Our conductor is a certain Paul Haas. Very inspiring person.

I was out playing Ultimate Frisbee last night when lightning struck a football goal post not 40 ft away. It was awesome and probably the highlight of the last 48 hours. Hope you're doing alright. =)

    Happy 4th!

Actually, don't bother waiting for me. It's been 48 minutes and I'm in part d of a written question with parts a-j. So I'll speak with you on a later date. Sorry to keep you hanging for 28 minutes. :saddowns:

Don't take this the wrong way, I'm the last person to find that this service existed and I've waited for the perfect time to use it (or not):

Un-smith yourself. You will. If you've composed music, you've already met a composer. Also, you live near Cleveland? CIM has a composer in residence.
Edit: I collided with Samuel Adler after a concert by the way. He's a nice guy. We both rounded a blind corner backstage. I didn't know who he was until an hour later when I researched him by chance and saw a photo. Now I feel :smith: AND because of his reputation and that I should have introduced myself.

I'd like to hear your input on this:
I was here at this concert, backstage tuning. It's an interesting piece. The composer is nice too. I met her after the concert. It might seem like your typical modern dissonant string piece, and in some parts that is definitely true. However, there are other places that I think are brilliant (harmonic passages). Remember the image I had for Venus? The image here is a flat meadow with a full moon and clear skies. :buddy:
