It was half joking, but the IT department of my local college was… not good.

I bought into the bullshit a while ago but after seeing the CAD go down a cliff after 2012 was definitely eye-opening. To think it managed to hold near parity for quite a while. That on top of stuff like C-51 made me say "someone else other than Harper, right now, please". Mind you Flaherty died, so I guess if anything the credit for keeping Canada at least "steady" during the 2008 recession should go to him instead of Harper.
