Oh you mean like the fill factor of the subpixels. Yup it's definitely an issue. I think the S3 had less space between subpixels than the Gnex, the dots of organic material were a bit larger. But yeah, when you look at a shot of the subpixels on an iPhone or HTC one and then on a Pentile display there's so much more black space.

What did you mean by the part about a "low amount of active area". Sounds sorta interesting, but I dunno exactly what you meant by it.
