pretty good despite the emptyness, since the atmosphere is pretty nice. the fog is too thick/inconsistent with the sky though, it makes the background structure stick out and appear flat.
not bad. it needs a larger attack force though, looks more like a house raid.
ah, i see. some of the props would either cast a partial shadow or none at all. luckily those glitches weren't too apparent on the foreground objects.
the teleportation arc things are made out of some newspaper props with an energy beam material on them :v: there are also some volumetric light effects around the soldiers.
as for the buildings...
sure, here's a version without any editing (except for sdof)
effects are in-game
that would be inconsistent with hl2 lore
lol yeah i did consider that, but i thought it's too time consuming and expensive for something that'll be sitting on a shelf most of the time.
i actually used a gmod model as a size reference and found out that the wearer's head is pressed up against the top and rear of the mask, with a lot of empty space in the front area. you'd have to be...
nope, my eyes are about 5 cm away from the goggles.
from what i've seen, most people just utilize actual gas masks for combine costumes. although i've seen a couple of attempts to recreate them like i did, which were p. successful. those...
here's a combine soldier helmet/mask replica that i recently finished. it's scratch-built with only visual references, so the proportions aren't perfect. almost all the lil' details are there though....
they really shouldn't create body kits that alter the car's appearance so heavily imo. the parts are never properly compatible with other kits, they look extremely bulky and they usually try way too...
then they aren't trying hard enough. quite a lot of english speaking is required in order to get rid of it.
actually, i made that tutorial :v:
but tbh, it's way more easily explained through text than that video of mine.
it should sound more monotone and robotic, like the original one.
it's still pretty well made though
hmm yeah, i should've used the resizer tool to make them way thinner. the tiles actually extend under the floor, so clipping would occur regardless of their placement.
well, i gotta clarify that both of these were made on a night variant of the freespace map. i utilized it's 3d skybox to make the backdrops, which means that everything not near the camera is...
pretty neat scene. although, like mentioned before it'd look way better with shadows and maybe a bit less color variety.
yeah, i know. i left it up for interpretation as to what he's actually doing in the picture. it could just be a part of the hacking process. but ty
yup, it kind of is. i wanted the city to be visible, so i avoided blocking the view with characters/action
also another scenebuild
lol, the wiki says their genitals are removed. i guess the simulation happens while they're connected to the memory replacement/sleep machine.
Wasteland Flora Overhaul
this thing isn't even in production, and all the other "flying cars" that exist are just planes that can be driven on roads. nobody buys flying cars because there aren't any practical ones in...
Looks good. I recommend using SmartSnap and the Precision Tool to align the walls and ceilings seamlessly. Makes building a lot faster as well.
i always find it funny when people brag about the combine's all powerfulness when a single man with a crowbar, an assortment of firearms, explosives, a gravity gun, a goatee, and powered armor took...
But both of those are human synths. They're the predecessors of the Elite soldiers.
the aliasing is pretty apparent in some areas, but other than that it's great.
Depends. Provided that you have the required tools, building one yourself would be relatively cheap. Buying it from someone else would likely cost a lot.
sure. it's possible to complete Honest Hearts at really low levels, i always do it right after the goodsprings quests.
ty, the buildings etc. are from Fallout, Day of Defeat and NeoTokyo. as for the roads, they're just containers with a road material from another prop.
haha yeah, it's actually just a super...
The sunlight lamp is placed behind the scenebuild, pointing slightly left. Thus, it doesn't make sense that some parts of the right side buildings appear to be lit when they should be in the shadow....
Yea, the shitty posing on those people almost made me want to not post it. I partly blame the ragdolls for it though.
A couple of Fallout pics on gm_black
that's because almost all of them are stock sounds, i've even heard some of them in movies
i think this was my first ever screenshot
with terrible in-game effects
yeah, the victim always reacts immediately by pushing him around a bit and tells him to gtfo. plus, the guy's rich as fuck, logically he hires some actors instead of risking his life/wasting his time...
the lighting seems too dim and bland. the scene is otherwise pretty good though.
-snip- (accidental bump due to tab misclick, wrong thread)
from the workshop. they're FO3 combat armor models with Metro 2033 ranger helmets.
no they aren't, but it's pretty common in scifi.
most of them should be in this pack
not an edit though, just a skin on the tablet model :v:
these two are truly creepy. i bet they'd look great in-game if they had kind of stiff and unstable looking movement animations, especially on that tall humanoid
