Fuck, I'm late. -.-
Have it anyways...
Last night at 1:30am EST, we received a surprise tip from faithful reader Chaucer. Chaucer will not reveal his true identity...
But the re-arming trick *should* still work for a full 120 days of use, so you can save up and afford a license key. If I am mistaken, please correct me on this.
I thought Windows 8 would be out in August. October is too damn far away for the Release Preview to be the RC, unless the Microsoft team is just jacking each-other off in the meantime.
The less bullshit I have to navigate through, the better.
Thanks mate, I made ones for Log off and Sleep as well. :D
Dev Prievew kept slowly killing itself over time, and it's shitty wireless drivers carried over to the Consumer Preview. The Release Preview has fixed everything so far, and now I just wish there was...
Well it just seems that everybody slams Phoronix, and I don't know why... It has fast, up-to-date news.
Yeah, I don't see a difference at ALL between them. :/
Because Phoronix's word can't be trusted, right?
I have to admit though, the performance boost in Windows 8 is astounding from the speed of 7. I thought 7 was plenty fast until I booted the Consumer Preview on my laptop... HOLY-SHIT-FUCK, was I...
I think for alot of folks, Windows 8 is going to be a tough sale, so they're giving good prices.
Ah. I've been lucky enough not to experience any of that on my Gateway MT6728 laptop with the Release Preview.
I've never had Windows 8 crash while using Chrome... o.o
Exactly right, that's the one. :)
I use my desktop as a scratchpad workspace for moving files around. I like having an easy to find desktop shortcut.
AnyDVD HD + VLC 2.0 = Blu-ray bliss. :)
Game said in an email that it will be ready by the holidays. But this is Valve-time, so here's to hoping...
Yeah, a 64GB one is fairly cheap now as a boot drive + essential disk-intensive apps, like Photoshop. Just make sure you set Photoshop's scratch disk to something else, not the SSD.
XFCE 4.10, or Cinnamon 1.4, they are both amazing experiences.
VLC + AnyDVD HD = Blu-ray bliss.
Seriously though, I can almost tile four of them on my monitor. O_O
Just save yourself the time and headache, and use Windows with a modern graphics card. DVDFab supports CUDA.
In my eyes, 7 made Vista obsolete.
Good lord, how can you do anything on such a postage stamp resolution?
