Fuck, I just had a nightmare where my octree was on fire and I was trying to save the nodes.
My book is on kindle!
I've noticed that you get better scores by submitting isolated excerpts.
Thank you. I'm glad you like it.
Yeah, the first chapter was pretty bad. It picks up from there though.
The sexual content is in chapter 3.

Thanks for the input by the way.
It's a piece of erotic science-fiction, so don't get your panties in a bunch. It's called “Jake's Fortune” and takes place in space.
My book is now on the Kindle store. :v:
Woah, I'm on fire! Please don't post what I wrote. :v:
Well, if anyone is proficient at C++ and would like to contribute to a roguelike here's mine: https://github.com/voodooattack/ADWIF
I can't work on it right now because of my contract but any help...
Okkay, both are good ideas. Thanks, I'll get on it.
Edit: Wait a sec.. I'm testing the import step itself. If I make a test database I'd have to make it in the old format. Nah.
Damn, it takes 30 minutes for my program to import the old database to the new format, and I have to wait that long to test every change. It hurts.
You forgot http://haxe.org/
When someone says:
You pretty much infer a request for dragon sex.
P.S: Oh, and we used to have that emote here before Garry nuked all of the emotes.
I think George R.R. Martin would go postal if a fan-fic about his novels broached the subject. :v:
I only have this thread for feedback on the bay12 forums, it's quite huge though:...
Oh god, I can't believe someone just asked for dragon sex as a feature for my roguelike.
I'm guessing it's the 6MB gif. Use WebM.
I had actually planned to enrol in a welding course.
As for the video capture, they use RC cars with a camera for that here, they run it through petroleum lines and inspect them internally, but...
I wish it were that way here, our educational system is a joke.
Here, professors won't allow you to present a thesis unless you've been graduated for 5-8 years, just to prevent younger students...
Won't build for me. I get this:
npm ERR! Error: No compatible version found: normalize-package-data@'^0.2.13'
npm ERR! Valid install targets:
Don't be, it's not really what I like doing.
And yes, I'm getting paid (it's a non-exclusive deal), and I plan on marketing this to other resellers after I'm done with it.
I really never...
Added searching by dates.
I never though I'd ever enjoy working with databases, I don't know if I'm crazy but this is fun....
Wrote a remote table delegate, this allows editing fields through a combo box populated by values fetched remotely from other tables in the database. I find this exciting for some reason.
Remote editing works now. The database is updated successfully when the user changes a row, but only after the server checks the user's permissions of course.
The last filter can't be deleted. Can be modified though.
I think I'll settle for this layout.
The newest row is always at the top, so the add button's location is always fixed, and...
That's the idea, the plus adds a new row that has a new plus button then turns into a minus. Or do you mean an independent button?
Too many columns to show at once.
The third line is not activated until the filter is added (plus pressed).
The order doesn't matter, and yes.
Edit: Actually, no, search is real time and...
What do you guys think of this?
That's true, but my client likes to see real data when I post my progress updates. He thinks it's more convincing for some reason.
Thanks, I fixed it. I think. :v:
Made a row-editing item model for Qt. This flips the horizontal headers into vertical ones and populates the table view accordingly. It was surprisingly easy.
Finished remote filtering, now you can search and filter clients in real-time remotely. The server filters out data and only provides the queried results instead of dumping it all to the client and...
Uhh.. well.. it's not like you can scrape anything vital from that screenshot, I made sure of it!
Thanks. It's all cross-platform and uses JSON to communicate so I'd say pretty well. The final...
Thanks, I'm trying to make it really easy to use.
Back on my commercial contract again. Finally got the client to work without a hitch after fixing a bug in QJSONRPC. (well, sort of)
Sweet, got my client and server to use TLS/SSL to communicate, and JSON-RPC is used on top of the secure TCP socket.
Qt is awesome.
Proof of concept: Two cells capturing each other:
In the future this will allow intracellular communication (this can already...
Added docking sites. Each of the tiny orange circles is a viable docking site, here you see RNA docked with the nucleus. The red dotted line represents a connection....
Nevermind, found the culprit. Turns out I forgot to delete the Site in my shutdownPhysics() call.
God damn it! Box2D is pissing me off! It crashes randomly while creating a new body.

Man, this is awesome. I induced random copying errors in RNA transcription and the result is marvellous. Now I'm finding all kinds of bugs in my code.
Now I need to make my code evolution-proof....
Got RNA to simulate molecular dynamics and home to its target, soon it'll home to specific docking sites, once I'm finished with that part of the code....
I managed to get a nucleus to feed another some instructions via RNA. Essentially it just copies its own DNA to a blank nucleus. It doesn't create a physical copy, not yet. Once I write the code for...
Added cell walls.
Next up is pseudo-podding.

Oh, I know what's causing it. I'm just not feeling like fixing it yet. Double deleting pointer is a bitch, not deleting it at all is worse.
Cell RNA transcription based on a simple stack machine with a Forth-like syntax and no registers.
The hexagon represents a cell's...
