They only made it because so many of their older customers complained that the DS was too small. It even comes pre-loaded with brain age games and a dictionary. It's for older folk and offers nothing new; chill out. If anything we should praise Nintendo for listening to their customers so closely; they wouldn't have even considered this if they didn't get enough demand.
I'd like to have one anyway, though. I'd imagine that the larger touch screen area lets you be a lot more precise in touch-based games. It'd be the unit I use at home. No more tapping one pixel too far to the right and having Maxwell leap into a fire pit seemingly of his own volition. |:[
i miight just buy it if the prices are right, because i do really want a DSi. I mean i could always use my DS stylus with the bigger DSi, i'd just have to put it back in a case when im done
