That's probably not intentional, but it doesn't really need to be fixed, because in ACTUAL Half-Life, the Xen Trees (http://half-life.wikia.com/wiki/Xen_Tree) only have one point on them.

You can't really make a good texture pack out of the modern games because the textures lack artstyle. They're all just photos, so in the end you'll make just another generic "realistic" texture pack.

As for armor, how about leather would be a lab suit, stone would be some alien grunt-inspired armor, iron would be HECU armor and diamond would be a HEV suit?
Also, chainmail or gold could be Gman's suit.

Leather would be better as the rebel suit, in my opinion. Gold should be the citizen clothing because citizens die so easily.

This is a HL1 texture pack, so it should be HL1-themed.

The the OF knife for the wooden sword? That'd make no sense, it'd make more sense to use a stick or something.
