A huge city map based on HuegCity_3.

Requirements:
A computer, Half-Life 2, and Garry's Mod

This is gm_simplicity, as featured in Coincidence 4 (http://forums.facepunchstudios.com/s...d.php?t=421458), which is (obviously) a huge city map with buildings and things. It's pretty much the HuegCity_3 map by iHax, only I changed the dev textures to actual building textures and I changed some of the brushes just a little bit to accommodate the textures (make them look more real and not cut off at awkward areas). That and I added a few details of my own. And yes, I have received permission from iHax to release this variation of his map. So there.

If there's anything wrong with it, oh well. I'm not planning on releasing any fixes or updates because it's a bitch to compile. If you happen to find any dev textures I missed, it would be nice if you took a screen shot and told me where it was. I MIGHT be a able to fix it but, as I said before, don't count on it.

Also: My computer is a fairly (vaguely) high quality, so I'm not sure if it'll lag a lot or not on slower computers. It doesn't on mine. I don't think it should...

Also also: DO NOT RE-DISTRIBUTE WITHOUT MY PERMISSION!

I still think it's better in dev because they're not made with the right detail to look good when textured.

Or just make some hidden area's inside buildings. It would be VERY cool, but VERY laggy to make buildings enterable

I didn't make this map for anyone other than myself. I never intended to realease it, in fact. If you want to blame someone, whine to the people who asked me to release it.

And for everyone else. No, the buildings are not enterable and no, I will not update gm_simplicity. I'm done with it. This is NOT an RP map.

It's called simplicity for a reason, people.

Uh, I think you missed my point.

The way to make the env_sun and the light_environment to line up is to enter exactly the same settings and bearings into their keyvalues.

So, if you say it is "almost" perfect, that means that you deliberately changed the settings to make them not-identical.

No criticism was intended.

You could certainly have made that more clear. Anyway, I made this a long time ago and only just now uploaded it. I wasn't sure how to line them up perfectly. Not EVERYONE knows EVERYTHING about mapping, you know.

Could be worse. I could have just thrown some phx buildings around in gm_construct and called it a map.

I don't think I really changed the sides of the roads. With all the building brushes in the original map, changing ALL of them would be WAY too much assing around.

Anyway, if people want to add traffic lights and such, the .vmf file of HuegCity_2 comes with the download.

Definantly one of the better maps ive played.
Its very fun, ecept when me and my friends turn off no clip to mess around with zombies, and i spawn inside a building... (a building with no interior)

Sorry. I'd love to, but I have other projects. The huegcity_3 zip comes with a vmf file, so you can make the modifications yourself. It wasn't hard, it just took forever.
