Ninjers, taking drugs is fun and all but do we really benefit from poisoning our bodies with these chemicals?

Christ you are fucking annoying. The alcohol and LSD do nothing but fuck you up something fierce. HOWEVER:

When you do weed, apart from you being greatly impaired visually, you get a health bonus of 50! On the verge of death? Smoke some weed, good as new!

When you shoot up Cocaine, you'll notice that your health is suddenly cut it half. Why you ask? Well because you are about to have a fucking heart attack from running around the map at 8x the normal speed. 12x if you hold shift.

When you take PCP...you become god...invulnerable to anything thrown at you. But when it wears off, you are near death. Maybes you should smoke some weed then eh?

I'm considering making an Addiction addon for this, I have a couple thoughts on how to do it but I'm open to suggestions.

Add overdosing, you die after taking too much of something.

Make it so you are forced to take the drug every so often. :D

You should be able to actually prepare the drug.. e.g. roll a joint, fill a syringe, pack a crackpipe, etc.

Hahaha I like this. Your health steadily drops after all other effects wear off til you are hanging out at 1 hp. After 20 min of clean and sober, you recover. Using any other drug resets timer.

you should make a swep thats a syringe or something and you can inject players or npcs and they go crazy and the npcsjump around and shoot randomly imagine if you stabbed a rebel with a rpg!!

Make a blowgun SWEP that you can use to drug people up.

Don't get me wrong or anything, the mod is wonderful, but don't you think it's a little too repetitive? It seems that every drug does the same thing. PP_Blur. Try to fool around with CalcView and other effects used in the post processing tab.

I had a thought that pot should slowly zoom in whenever the player stops moving the mouse. Can this be accomplished?

Maybe for weed you could spawn an invisible small prop a ways away from the player, and slowly bring the alpha up until it is at around 70 or so. then when the player looks at it, remove the prop, making it look like there was never anything there at all.

Whenever I use this (SVN) I for some reason get stuck on Loading Resources, I have tried re-installing, it works fine until I put this addon on. Halp.

I can honestly say I had a bit of fun with this. Booze up and take the buggy for a spin, or spawn a wheel, attach different colored lights to it, and spin it around while taking shit loads of LSD. Or you could spawn a PHX ramp, shoot up on some cocaine, and run off the ramp. Or smoke a little bit of PCP and run into a zombie horde and give them a few hugs.

On a more serious side, I have a few suggestions and ideas. Why limit it strictly to drugs? One thought I had was to make a pill bottle (If I can remember, there were some drug models on Gmod.org), and have it do random effects when you use it, just like taking random pills from someone's medicine cabinet when they're not watching. And why not include things like Ritalin, or tranquilizers and such? Otherwise, I think this is an amusing addon. Lua King'd.

Whenever I load a map with this mod installed, the lighting gets completely messed up. Everything looks like it's coming from one global light source and there is no HDR. I know it's the mod because when I removed it from my addons folder, everything started working again.

one idea, make taking too many in one sitting kills you (OD). Unless it does that already and I'm dumb and never noticied it.

Try that "mat_fullbright 0" command. Happened to me when I had ragdoll laughter v4 installed.

For an addiction mod, make it so after x many times you take a drug in x amount of time you get addicted. As for withdrawal and such, make everything you do progressively slow down, get motion blurred, you twitch, etc. until you eventually can't do anything except sit there in a heaping mass of twitch and blur.

When you smoke the weed make it so that, that song comes on from southpark when kenny get's high. :D

i dont >_> <_< its just funny doing it on gmod, i always spawn a big ramp from phx, the take pcp and coke, so i go realy fast, and run up the ramp and jump at the end, u go flying, and because of the pcp, u dont get hurt when u fall >_<

Is it possible to warp their voice on voice chat before it reaches the server?

Is it possible to spawn in illusions for the LSD? I can imagine it now... "ALL THE COMPANION CUBES ARE TRYING TO STAB ME!"

Ideas for the addiction mod;
1.Cumulative addiction the longer you take the drugs for the more you need to take to hold back the negative effects.
2.The longer you take them the bigger the side effects.
3.A percentage increase of dying from the drug due to the long term effects i.e. drug addiction levels.
4.I am sure this is possible as Melonbrew on gmod 9 had a script to do it, it filled your screen with an image for a split second in this case it was usually a cat "demon" representing Catdaemon I would assume
5.Withdrawal symptoms; increasingly blurry screen, slower movement speed, after longer term addiction chance of death, ragdoll of player, loss of weapons
6.To counter this I recommend having a anti drug i.e. methadone e.t.c. these when used maintain your addiction level but remove withdrawal effects.
