I got the Rowdy Bastard combat rifle.

Damn, I had Whitney's Elephant gun. Level 48 Requirement, 1047 Damage.

I got a combat rifle called :some number *letter configuration* Caustic Bastard did 2x corrosive, it was 'dark' orange and in the description it said: TORGUE: Bastard guns for Bastard people.

^ I had the same one, only no caustic damage. Same red text, too.

Not very strong, but can kill most because of the bullets that come out.
1015 damage if they all hit the guy, which they often do.

Almost like yours. Except for the scope. (Also level requirement shows 48 while in backpack, and 42 while in weapon slots.)

They don't have enough regular machine guns in this game, it's always some dumb burst rifle.

What the hell are you talking about? Burst firing rifles are much more rare than standard machine guns.

Yes, although the thing with the Dove is that you NEVER have to reload. Whereas with other ammo-regen guns you do.

I guess, it also depends on what class he is playing, if soldier, he can have 2.5x the mag cap.

Patton is given as a reward from The Middle of Nowhere bounty board. Everybody is guessing, that the flavor text means huge critical hit damage. In a Gamespot thread a guy said he did 43800 damage to a larva crab worm when he critted him.

I got it from Mothrakk on playthrough 2. It's random though.

An elephant gun is simply a high-caliber rifle with no scope IIRC.

In case you couldn't guess they use them IRL to hunt elephants.
