Really can't find much wrong with it, just as good as when I was a kid.

Tron: Legacy - 10/10
Why? Reviewers have been bashing its story, but let's be really sincere here: is the point of Tron to have a fantastic story?
It was a fantastic movie for what it proposed, and that was why I''m giving a 10 for.
Beautiful visuals, orgasmic score (Daft Punk showing their skills like never before), perfect action/drama balance, Olivia Wilde, a fun film overall.
Was the first 3D movie I watched, and, unlike the trailers I saw, it was pretty balanced, subtle but immersive.
I really can't go on the execution on this movie. I think I liked it even more than Inception, to be sincere.
I just wrote two extremely long posts about how I didn't like Tron: Legacy. One got lost because my post didn't go through, one I finished writing, went to click post, then accidentally clicked the back button on my mouse. I'll keep this short.
Generic action movie that doesn't take advantage of the opportunities presented to it by the setting (wasted potential). Aborted arcs/sequel hooks making the movie feel weird, particularly with Tron, the TITLE CHARATER, who literally disappears at the end and who's only role in the movie is as a generic henchman. Great special effects, I still love the neon aesthetic, and the soundtrack is incredibly original. Good, if weird, cameos from Michael Sheen and Daft Punk. All this is polish to disguise the film's drab, cold, boring plot and characters (I didn't identify with most, if any of them), though, and I can't enjoy a film without a decent plot, no matter how shiny it is. Can you imagine a book without a story? Stop defending films just because they're 'not supposed to have a story'? That's fucking retarded, and if you think that you're the kind of drooling retard who enjoyed Transformers 2.
6/10

Tron Legacy:
7/10
Story was okay, visuals were great, Jeff Bridges was awesome at being Jeff Bridges. Cliché story line however.
Inception, finally
10/10
I have a totem now, 50 cents Mexican (Idk, not 50 pesos, whatever it is)
Just rented Inception, wasn't home when it was in theaters so it was my first time seeing it. I give it an 11/10. The story was amazing, the effects great, excellent acting, overall amazing.
Edited:
And at the ending, where Cob's totem kept spinning, telling you he was still dreaming , that was great. I thought he made it through all the layers , so I shed a manly tear.
I realized it'd be like that when he was on the bathroom and didn't watch his token or let it fall or something , so it was kinda expected for me.
Cloudy with a chance of meatballs - 10/10
The art direction in it is amazing.
The Town 10/10
Watched The Departed again. 10/10
The Losers
5/10
seriously not what I expected. Pretty average.
I saw Pleasantville today in college.
At first I thought it had a really nice premise but wow as the plot gets going I just began to realise the writers seriously fucked up. They had a nice idea at the start but it's like they tried to bundle 5 or 6 metaphors and 5 or 6 messages into a single film. Bargain? No. It was dumb. By the end I couldn't work out what the hell was supposed to be being conveyed.
It was like some weird Biblical metaphor for Original Sin, but also a weird metaphor for the United States, but you could also read some Russian Revolution into it and both Marxist and feminist theory applies really strongly against functionalist and conservative theories.
The film begins with the really strong moral of "modern life is bad and sinful - look how nice the 50s was" but by the half-way point it's more like this out-of-date romantic view that "passion and emotion matters more than social convention. Love is wonderful and if bad things like murder come out of that too then so be it" and then by the end it has a really basic post-modernist message of "meh - do whatever the fuck you want".
It was a fairly nice film to watch; the visuals with the black and white parts contrasting with the growing influence of colour was cool and the acting was pretty decent. So yeah it's a pretty good film if you don't think at all about the morals or messages in it... but sadly the film was clearly intended to get some deep meaning across to the viewer, but what the fuck that message was I have no idea.
5/10
Bruce almighty
20/10
Fucking hilarious
Love it
Emperors New Groove
10/10
Prove me wrong, punk
It starts wobbling a bit at the end though. I think Nolan said that he wanted the ending to be open ended.
Edited:
I wasn't talking specifically to you, I was using your post as an opportunity to state my opinion about a specific group of filmgoers. If you feel offended by that then so be it.
Inception 11/10
The Hogfather
10/10
Terry Pratchett plus a brilliant cast. As good as it can get.
The Experiment, it was pretty cool.
8/10
Voyage of the Dawn Treader
5/10, if only because the 'sad' ending made me burst out laughing in the cinema when I realised the blatant extent of the ridiculous biblical imagery.
ITT: People gives 10/10.
Just saw Taken the second time: 6/10, entertaining, but nothing more than that.
Also: Toy Story 3: 8/10, probably the best of the Toy Stories.
no
Also, The Book of Eli - 5/10
I thought it was an interesting concept overblown with religiosity and an annoying extra character (I'm looking at you, Mila Kunis). I absolutely loved the score, though.
That basically encapsulated the whole film. Yeah, that's everything.
The Prestige 8/10
I really liked this movie. I didn't really like that the movie involved some sci-fi , but it was pretty much essential to the story and half of the awesome metaphor that extends throughout the film.
The Cell
8/10
A lot like Inception, only from 2000.
The Other Guys
8/10
Pretty funny film.
Tron Legacy:
9/10
will buy on DVD
Into The Wild:
10/10
This movie was just...Wow!
Only 8/10
:colbert:
Inception 10/10
Even better then 4th time.
The Fighter 10/10
Christian Bale did a fantastic job.
8/10 - damn good
9/10 - holy shit that was amazing
10/10 - perfect
On my scale anyway.
The Fighter - 8/10
It felt rushed. The conflict did indeed present itself but it seemed too short for it to actually build up any form of suspense. The boxing was pretty good and there were some good laughs in it and some heart-felt stuff I suppose.
Taken
Liam Neeson kicking some fucking ass/Liam Neeson not kicking some fucking ass
Tron: Legacy
9/10
Eyesex in terms of the CGI and setting, Olivia Wilde and Daft Punk. Confused afterwards as to why the the movie was called Tron: Legacy and had almost nothing to do with the character.
The Shining: 10/10
the grid legacy sounds lame
