I know the AK looks a bit rubbish, but it was the first suitable pic I found. What do you recommend I should replace it with?

Just look for a regular Akm or 74 with wood furniture.

Also a note: Gas guns and grenades are not Pyro. Pyro is things that burn. Gas guns and grenades are powered by gas expansion, not combustion, so they're not pyro.
