Still waiting for a 4.2.1 jailbreak for iPod Touch 2G MC model.
So if you get the tethered 4.2 jailbreak, then the untethered jailbreak comes out, do you have to re-jailbreak?
Though MuscleNerd himself said not to be too concerned, they may be trying to figure out what's going on there.
Upgraded my iPhone 3G to 4.2, tried to jailbreak it using limera1n but I got stuck at the "in DFU mode...wait", had to use TinyUmbrella to get it out of DFU Mode, what did I do wrong?
Jailbroke it using redsn0w instead, works fine now.
So I restored my iPhone 3GS to 4.2.1 and JB/Unlocked it. Then I realized that it has to be tethered to reboot. :C
Now I want to revert back to 4.1 but I keep getting errors (1015). I'm using iTunes 9 and tinyumbrella to help with the restore. Any ideas?
I think I did it.
4.2.1 seriously helped my battery life. My iPhone has been on for about 16 hours and only lost about 10% of it's battery. Used to be about 50-60% would be gone.
Why the fuck won't Cydia appear on my iPod Touch 2G MC after I jailbreak? I have 4.2.1.
I'm on a jailbreaked iPhone 3G with iOS4.1 and baseband 05.12.01. Ultrasn0w won't remove the carrier lock. It just says No Service or display one single bar (still won't connect shit). Anyone know what's going on?
Id like to know if the iPhone 4 with the 05.12 basement has an unlock yet? Can't seem to find any useful stuff online so I assume not?
Getting an iPad for Christmas with 4.2(.1?) Firmware, but I don't think the Christmas JB will be out. MuscleNerd and p0sixninja got in a fight, and I think comex emailed SHAtter to Steve Jobs (email@example.com).
I'm not sure on what the deal is though.
Oh, it was leaked.
What's the point of leaking it so close to the release date?
I love how there's always so much drama in the iPhone jailbreak scene
I'm currently on 4.1 with the iPad baseband, how would I go about upgrading to 4.2(.1?)? I don't want to risk losing my unlock either.
Uh, just update with iTunes then use redsn0w...
Hi guys. I recently jailbroke my iPhone 4, 4.2.1 firmware. After a while the 3G disappeared even though all my other friends' iPhone 4s had 3g, so I decided to restore my iPhone. Put my phone into recovery mode and restored from the 4.2.1 firmware that I had used to jailbreak my phone, but got an error 1015. Now my phone is stuck in recovery mode and I can't boot it up anymore.
Using TinyUmbrella doesn't work because the phone just exits recovery for ~1 minute and after that it goes back into recovery mode again. I'm really scared that I've given myself a $400 paperweight - Could someone help me?
Just got a new iPod Touch 4g running 4.1 for Christmas, I have already looked over some compatibly sheets and I could limerain it, the question is to jailbreak or not too and what apps will I need if I am going to.
Winterboard (if you really want it too look different)
Other misc. tweaks. Check youtube and browser for top Cydia apps and such.
Oh, and emulators, they're always fun.
Any news on an unthetered 4.2.1 iPod Touch 2G MC jailbreak?
If you jailbreak do you get app store apps for free?
My friend must be a liar, then. I'm not surprised.
Ezhik is dumb. Hackulo.us is a URL. You could just as easily type it in the URL bar.
All jailbroken and have installed plenty of apps, is there any other good apps that would be useful. A nice text editor would be very useful.
A good text editor for iPad is called Pages. It's made by Apple and supports Word documents. Very handy
Any jailbreak programs for 4.2.1 yet?
redsn0w does not work for my MC 2G iPod Touch. Damn.
Comex where is my Jailbreakme 3.0. You said it'd be out for christmas :saddowns:
So is there no way to jailbreak 4.2.1? Just got a 32 gig iPod Touch 4G and just curious
I couldn't live without jailbreaking my old 1G, SBsettings was way too useful
Redsn0w should work. but it seems to be a Mac only release as of now.
