Little update. It would appear that the VDV is starting to issue Digital Flora on uniforms, flak vests and helmet covers and using Flora 6Sh112s with it. Might want to add these to the OP.

Looks pretty nice. I doubt they will ever become standard issue, it's impossible to standardize anything in the Russian military (some soldiers still use AKM's).

Russian is a country that is too poor to equip all their soldiers with these new camo patterns and gear, so why do they do it at all?

Among most frontline units Flora is actually completely standardized. Some of the rear units are probably still using VSR, or more likely TTSKO and Afghankas though.

Not all the units have standardized stuff though, look at the Spetsnaz, they are always mixing camo.

Spetsnaz =/= regular army. I was referring to the regular army when I said Flora was standard issue among frontline troops.

There is a reason for that, they blend in with regular units, makes them harder to identify.

If the Spetsnaz wanted to blend in they would wear Flora seeing as that's the most common camo and is actually issued to nearly every frontline Russian soldier.

The only special forces that "blend in" would be VDV troops, as they're issued flora (or the digi-flora, depending on unit), however, they have much more flexibility when it comes to gear. Most internal spetsnaz units wear whatever they like.

They're moving away from it though. A lot of the units in the VDV are 100% professional soldiers.

For me, the most impotant part of army is its style. Russia has it, but as Amry it is shitty.

I love Kamysh and Flora. I have a hard time choosing witch I should get... Although, there is something about the Russian woodland camo that I also like...
