Why is everyone getting their own version of Multicam now?
I'm guessing that we're doing it because our politicians decided that we haven't wasted enough money for our new Patria AMV's
It can't be about having our own pattern, since we already have the yugoslavian offshoot called 4-colour woodland jigsaw and we've used camo from other countries before (US 3 colour desert)
I like that version of Multicam a lot.
AOR1 and Auscam.
Fuck yeah.
I have always wondered why we have our guns painted black when black sticks out like a sore thumb.
That jigsaw camo already looks like enough of a multi environment camo to me.
Also Latvian camo is pretty badass.

Holy shit thats rad as hell.
Im gonna see what I can do about getting a set of that.
Ya,I really like that!
Because when you issue an Army a firearm that firearm may be going to any number of places. So if you decided to say, paint the gun tan or coyote brown for the Middle East, then the troops in The Pacific, Germany, France and Russia would also be issued tan guns which wouldn't fit at all in Jungles, Snow and Forests. It's easier to pick a flat base color and let the troops in operation customize the gun however they please.
Multicam guns

I like the A-TACS Camo. I would post pics but i dont know how to.
The Canadian army issues their rifles and SAWs with OD furniture and apparently even though it's OD it still makes the rifle harder to spot even in Afghanistan. A lot of soldiers still paint them desert colours though.
-ship, wrong thread, reposting in other one-
Wrong thread.
The price is right though.
despite what people say, having tan stuff doesn't necessarily make it harder to spot
infact, due to the way light is refracted in deserts, bright colours are much better at camouflaging stuff in the desert
see: British tanks painted yellow/blue/purple during WW2
also seems to explain Jordanian Security Forces wearing blue DPM
Also pink. The British painted their jeeps pink during an attack. I read that on here in Daily Life I think.
yes, Desert Rats were notorious for having bright pink jeeps
while it may sound gay as hell, you could not see them atall past ~200M
That does look pretty cool.
Ya it blends quite nicely.
It's almost like artwork.
I made a camo.
Edited:
facet filter and then spatter filter

I like this I want to purchase!
See! I told you guys!
I made another one.
Edited:
~high tech~ algorithms
I'd would really buy some of the ones you make.
That looks almost exactly like that Digital multicams they have.
omg your algorithms are so off, just adjust it some more and it will be ~high tech~ like mine
No offence, There not gonna buy that.
I was joking, gosh.
I haven't researched into the algorithms~ enough
Adjust your meters.
Run a half twist Tinnison curve on the Koparski logarithmic blend and filter it through an Eichman screen to get a good pattern.
reminds me of those WWII German tank camo![]()
I just remembered how much I like Type 07.

That results in an odd fluctuation within the Hollerith sectors though. If I run it using an eighth to sixteenth reverse Turing filter, and follow that with a Sepia Lerinthian hole, it should fix the Putardean imperfections.
It's just a theory, however.
I think china makes the nicest looking Flecktarn(ish) camo
I can't quite put my finger on why I don't like that, I'd describe it as artsy. Maybe it's just the lack of randomness, not enough splotches.
from what I know, in WWI, militaries hired artists to 'paint' camouflage uniforms for snipers, observers, etc
Arr! That be correct!
