See, the NCR offers protection, but it's at their convenience, and it comes with strings attached. Sure, the NCR is preferable to the Legion, but both are the kind of centralized, violent governments that led to nuclear holocaust in the first place. The wasteland needs to be cleansed of raiders and mutants, but the conflict between the NCR and the Legion is magnitudes more dangerous.
The only faction in the wasteland worth supporting is the Followers. They're the only ones who actually care about bringing about peace, stability and prosperity, and not just hording power for themselves. NCR, Legion, House, Brotherhood, Enclave, what's the difference?

And the problem with the followers was that they are too idealistic (as previously mentioned), and it's quite unlikely they will ultimately succeed.

I know that this is an old post, but you don't see the NCR crucifying people. Plus, despite the government's corruption, there's always a few honest troopers in every handful. Literally every Legionary is an asshole

I can't meet with Caesar, because my companions have to wait outside; I never found ED-E after he disappeared on me the first time, and I can't seem to get the console to activate.

So now I'm stuck until either I find ED-E, or find out how to make the console work.

I has such a bitch of a time killing the    Legate    , so I injected 15 doses of Jet, 2 Psycho, 3 MedX, and chugged 4 bottles of whiskey before charging him with the Ballistic Fist. My screen was entirely blurred out, completely red, and to my surprise it actually worked.

Okay, this is mystifying me: After completing most of the quests for the Brotherhood of Steel, they are now hostile towards me. I had entered the bunker wearing faction armor (NCR Ranger Armor), but I have a mod installed that (supposedly) disables its faction association. I've waited a few days since then, but they will still attack me on sight, regardless of what armor I'm wearing, and whether or not I have a weapon drawn.

Does anyone know how to fix this shit? After all this, I'm definitely going to blow these assholes up - but I want to squeeze every bit of loot out of them that I can first.
I've tried using the setrepuation and addreputation console commands, but to no avail.

Also, I found a glitch with Private Harland at the Lakelurk Cave outpost (it starts with a "g", I think). If you make him promise to give you his gun and clear out the cave with you, you can get infinite service rifles and 5.56 rounds from him. When you exit the cave, just tell him to give you his gun, then select the other speech option (not goodbye); you should be able to ask him for his gun again - and he'll give it to you.

I hate myself. EDE died a few minutes after I repaired him, since I was playing on hardcore and forgot to set him as essential, and he's so weak. :saddowns: I would assume spawning a new one would screw up any quests related to him too.

Fuck, I got banned from Gomorrah's tables. Apparently winning 9.7k is just too damn much. It's okay, though, because    I got Troike to blow up the weapon's cache, Nero to kill Sal, and Cachino to kill Nero. I didn't have to do a fucking thing. God I love my character   

Does anyone else feel like it's too damn easy to win loads of money from blackjack? I mean, I guess I do have a Luck of 7, which definitely helps, but I've already won 10k+ from the Ultra-Luxe (and I can still go back for more) and 9.7k from Gomorrah (banned from the tables, though). I think I'll just go around and clean out all the casinos then buy a whole bunch of bitchin' weaponry.

Well, I've started playing a while, and one of the main things I've noticed is that it's a LOT harder to come by good armor early on, as opposed to Fallout 3, where there were raiders just around every hill waiting to get their asses handed to them and their armor stolen. Pretty much all I have is a suit of leather armor that's in pretty bad condition. Oh well, hopefully I can come by some caps for a new suit later on.

And energy based weapons suck in new vegas compared to fallout 3.
