New trailer released!
New article on our website - New trailer, poster and screenshots! Release of the campaign soon! (Also on ModDB)
The poster with all survivors being the same height... is just bad
Welp, Campaign ruined now. Time to boycott guys.
Did i said that the campaign is bad? I said that the poster has no sense with francis and louis being at the same height that zoey
It's a small error though, is the poster really going to make you stop playing?
If you're looking for a real poster problem, three handed Zoey in the No Mercy poster.
Actually poster turned slightly to the right. When you turn it back to the left so that he'll be hanging straight, you will see how things really are. Francis is a little bit higher than Louis, Louis slightly higher than Bill, and Bill is slightly higher than Zoey.
This is as it should be, when the survivors are practically at the same distance from the camera, as in this poster.

I remember seeing this campaign at least a year ago.
Looking forward to playing.
We'll try to release new version at the end of this week - We'll try to fix non-stop hordes issue, also i think we'll remove all weapon add-ons (because it's looks like a lot of people hate this two issues).

Installing L4D2 just for this. Amazing work!
Seen, great timing, thanks.
I'm on my way to my next goal - Back To School v2.0
I'm going to make major changes and bug fixes to every chapter by their order and I'll release updates after each chapter would be ready. (v1.1 - changes to chapter one, v1.2 - changes to chapter two, etc.)
On this screenshots comparison v1.06 and v1.10:
- new path through chapter! you can cross the river on a log!
- director decides when log will appear
- new road texture
- default skybox was replaced with new one, that I've created recently
- changes to environment lighting, chapter is now brighter
- fog distance was increased after chapter's optimization
Hey, there was a bug on the second to last level where you could get stuck. Using the military watch towers, you could hop onto the concrete barriers and fall behind them and get stuck.
Is it bad that I like the default skybox?
Me too. The new one is all bright and beautiful, whereas the old one keeps up with the depressive toned-down atmosphere of the apocalypse.
I also like the old fog better for the same reason.
It's better not to include this custom crap from the workshop, keep it optional, why force it like that?
I prefer the custom one.
But it's probably because I've been playing a ton of Alan Wake recently and I enjoy that atmosphere more.
The new skybox looks a lot better for a rural area. The old one works in stuff like No Mercy because they're in a big city, and it makes sense for it to look a bit polluted.
gimme a break
It used to have custom weapons too, before they were removed due to some compatibility problems.
And I think that majority of the custom stuff looks out of place hence 'crap'. Don't mean it too literally.
The fog distance and lighting brightness were changed not only because We wanted to improve visual aspect, but also to improve gameplay.
After watching more than 50 playthrough and reading more than 80 reviews, It became quite obvious that such dense fog and low brightness cause player to lose orientation in the forest, also zombies were popping out right into player's faces and players wasn't able to fight them back without getting a damage.
Please note that the in-game map looks darker than on screenshots.
Also please note, that this is our custom crap and we can put any new custom crap, that we made (like skybox) on top of our previous custom crap whenever we want.
If you don't like our custom crap, no one is forcing you to install it.
Fist of all it were custom animations for default weapons, not custom weapons. This animations were quite simular to default ones, but they were made a lot better in terms of quality.
L4D1 survivors were ported to L4D2 very poorly - they have hands stuck inside guns, broken animations (like grenade launcher reload animation), so we've included custom animations to fix that crap.
Second, this animations were deleted not because of compatibility problems, but because we decided that people need freedom, if they want to play with crappy default animation or with their favorite guns models, why not?
In this case - we are changing our own maps and we want them to look the same for every player, and I can't understand why should I pack my own new skybox in separate add-on. Especially it won't work anyway, because fog and lighting color would be set only for specific skybox, and another one would be looking weird.
