I take media classes in highschool, and these past 4 weeks me and 4 friends have been working on a zombie movie. It's a post zombie apocalyptic setting.
It will be done this Friday and I'm sure we will put it on youtube. Though the downside for you guys is, everyone is speaking Norwegian. OH WELL.

I'm looking forward to the christmas vacation now, Gonna try and draw as much ZW pages as I can.

Great comic, site layout could use a little work. Nothing serious, but an index of sorts down the side of the page or something so I can figure out which parts I've already seen and what I'm up to without starting at the end and flicking back trying not to spoil it for myself.

Basically the archive somewhere on the main page. Can be discreet, doesn't matter. But having it there without having to click to the archive'd be great.

Don't push it, twice a week is more than enough for someone who doesn't do it full-time and I'd rather have slow steady update with such high quality that Detlef brings us over some "once every day" but sub-par quality.

Keep up the awesome work Detlef, I'm not too sure about the other guy having your name though. It reminds me of self-inserts and even though you hate it (probably as much as I do) it would be a good idea to maybe change that. Especially if it's his name, it's an extremely uncommon name and I think a more 'normal' name would fit a lot better.

I know that that hasn't come out in the story yet but it doesn't matter.
And my real name is not Detlef. I am female. He's just a character I stole a name from to use as a user name on Facepunch. Nothing more.

Even though I don't know you, there is something about finding this from a facepunch user that makes it seem more impressive. If this was any random web comic i wouldn't read too far into it. The artwork is amazing though! Nice job.

Also I'm not much of an artist but I was wondering how you go about creating that 'hand painted' watercolor/smudge look you apply to textures etc. I would normally just use a generic gradient but yours art appears to be so natural and sexy. Just brush opacity and manually choosing shades? I have no idea what i'm talking about

I use a custom brush that I downloaded. It's not very advanced though it's just a simple round pressure sensetive brush. I sometime lower the opacity but everything is just me painting with different color tones until I get the result I want. No fancy filter/smudging applied.

Well, I think your work is great and you inspired me to try something on my own. I'm pretty good at drawing and i made a few comics in my spare time, but I don't have a tablet so my PC drawings aren't too good. Anyways i just made this in Gimp, a bit of Fan art, maybe it can go up on your website. the other 2 are just me experimenting.
