Oh, well I still find it fun. :frown:
Oh, well I still find it fun. :frown:
I haven't played this in about a good year. I was recently thinking about how I did have some fun with the game but couldn't exactly get into it. I left off with being in some corp called the Space Marines Corps ( I was in the tranee program ) , a carocal , 1m SP , 3m isk. Would it be even worth it to try and get into it again?
Of course it is.

Ha.
Drama, drama everywhere.
Hey you fuckers, maybe we should, you know, quit arguing about internet spaceships and all this serious business and just, you know, calm down and play our excel in space?
Just starting, do any of the factions, ancestry actually matter?
not any more
Back in ye olde days when you could only fly ships of your faction
No, you could always fly all ships.
You just got 800K sp for free towards your ancestory, faction and personal preference.
Plus certain bloodlines + ancestry gave different starting skills.
Well with the release of the new expansion, you'll wanna try it.
I'm not sure but I think the attributes are assigned based on what you pick (Intelligence, Perception, Charisma, Willpower, and Memory).

Fuck me roughly and call me a noob.
I just got raped on Oichya by war targets :gonk: Feel free to critisize the fit and what have you, but I was lucky to get away with my pod intact.
+ attributes iirc
Edited:
that used to be the case, now you get equal distribution (-1 char) whatever you pick, so it doesn't really carry any weight unless you're an RPer.
It was better before, where you had a role from the start.
New way is more noobfriendly thou, which is stupid because EVE is the most unfriendly game ever.
If that's a missioning fit it's not horrible really. Just dont die to those Orphanage faggots please. They are really bad at this game.
On a completely unrelated not, you all have to watch this because it's insanely awesome and I feel the need to share the awesomeness.
No, it isn't the incursion video.
This does not make for a good business model.
Oh god, the Orphanage. Corp after corp of just war decs.
We got wardecced by them once.
I didn't take the whole wardec thing seriously, as we are a predominatly nullsec corp, I thought they were one too and so I wouldn't run into a sweep squad in highsec.
I would like to try this game but I've heard some terrifying stories of needing 3+ years to get decent gear and enjoy it.
Nah.
More like 3 months, then you're doing decent.
Your account has been Re-activated. :unsmith:
Edited:
Im scared so much has changed.
Just wait for Incursion.
Jesus Christ 1023 msg's
Um... what?
Screenshot please if it's not sensitive info.
From what I've heard, apparently they are a high sec type of people looking for easy pickings.
Well they're choosing the wrong corps.
Why would they wardec a WH corp?
Beyond me other than the 1 or 2 people in jita shopping for like an brief 5 minutes
The main issue is most people aim too high too fast. Don't go into this thinking "I WANT TO FLY A CARRIER!" because you will be disappointed. Focus on getting into a nice frigate or cruiser fit and work your way up slowly. A well fitted frigate will do you a lot more good (and be many times cheaper and easier to replace) than a shitty battleship.
When I started back in 2006, the ancestry and profession you chose determined your attributes and starting skills. You will see many Caldari Achura from the old days because their attributes were well placed for long term play.
These days, your choices don't mean dick outside of RP and starting ship. You can very easily just skill up another race's ships and miss out on very little time at all. You might lose half an hour total, with the ship and weapon skills combined? Less if you're starting either Caldari or Gallente and switch to the other (they both use hybrid guns).
Side note, the Caldari and Gallente do develop differences once you get some skills going. Namely, Gallente use armor tank and drones while Caldari use missiles and shield tank.
*cough*MightyMax*cough*
Story?
Six hundred DPS cruiser.
Edited:
Literally that is the story.
Edited:
Actually I checked, and this seems to be the cheapest 600DPS cruiser you can get. Those rigs just *barely* push it up to 600.
![]()
t1 rigs with officer stuff, gg
Do the fit yourself. They take up 200 calibration each (meaning you can only fit 2 T1, or 1 T2). One T2 rig only gets 599. Two T1 gets 600.
oh :saddowns:
also there has to be a better way to do that, the dimishing returns on those gyrostabs would make the last one near pointless
You want 600 DPS on a normal cruiser hull? Five fucking officer gyros is how you do it. I even added drones, I don't know what else I could possibly do.
also for the record![]()
Oh, you can apparently eek out over 700 DPS on a non-faction fitted Vexor if you gank all your highs and lows and use T2 ogres.
Fucking gallente. :frog:
That is a lot more Nightmares and Phantasms. I just have one each :saddowns:
its a good thing hybrid weapons suck or gallente might actually be good
Pretty sure that is called a gangrape.
