Could someone suggest me a viable PvP Merlin fit? Without rigs obviously.

obviously?
Quick question. Why is it that destroyers are not viable for pvp over frigates? In theory they should at least be better for killing frigates since they sport more of the same size guns and more base tank. I've never really thought about destroyers much and always just wrote them off as PVE vessels.
Because when they run into anything bigger than a frigate they die very easily due to having the sig radius of a cruiser.
That makes sense. Do they at least do a decent job when fighting frigates?
Yep.
The char value site gives me 45.5% focus to industry for having l5 industry and prod eff l5
i have 12mil ish sp
Destroyers are fucking badasses. An arty thrasher can 2-shot ceptors from 20km.
Damn i was gonna post that.
Really? A single module slot intended for that special hacking module? Thats even more useless than the Primae.
It's better than nothing though.
and yet by the end of january it will be incredibly expensive like the zephyr
But worse than T3 Frigates/Battleships/Modules.
Expensive? The Zephyr is going for 20 mil right now from what I can see, that isn't that much at all.
Which take a lot more work and are a lot more game changing than a novelty ship.
Why without rigs? They're pretty cheap.
I want one. :saddowns:
That said, I just a few days ago read about ideas circulating for a dedicated hacking ship. Good to see it's been implemented.
Edited:
In fact, I think I'm going to purchase several.
"Hey, I know you guys have been wanting T3 frigates for quite some time, but instead we balanced rockets and gave you a useless novelty ship."
More like a gank-beacon if you ask me. Just like the Primae.
I really like the look of the ship. I just wish they'd just make these ships t1 frigates or something so they'd actually be useful.
That is a lot more than what they are actually worth
If you get attacked while at a radar site you're doing it wrong.
I wish they didn't have a purpose no one cares about. The only useful freebie so far is the zephyr, because you can use it to salvage in sleeper sites while still in combat.
Any person would know that to get to said radar site you must undock and warp to said radar site.
If you die to a gatecamp/station camp you're also doing it wrong.
Edited:
It's a frigate hull ffs.
Personally I don't want T3 frigates any time soon
it's just another fleet of ships that need many painstaking patches to balance
Warp disruption bubbles at gate.
You're still in a frigate and what are you doing taking a hacking ship through hostile 0.0?
You can hack your way through!
Empty systems and cloak.
Cov ops get a scan bonus, and unless you're a retard solo pilot like me you should be doing them with other people.
This is exactly what I do. Four 280mm cannons loaded with Titanium Sabots.
The other 3 turret slots have 200mm autocannons for close quarters on my Thrasher.
Also got 400mm rolled tungsten armor.
And a 200 mm reinforced steel plates.
All my rig slots are used for power output boosting rigs.
I also have a a thing that boosts my shields. Can't remember what it's called/
I have somewhere between 4000 and 5000 hp total.
Am I doing it right?
Needs more stabs.
It's called a joke.
:saddowns:
I bought another comet, now that i can put all t2 on it. Right now, its either t2 or faction.
So am I the only one that is disappointed in the second half of the Christmas gift?
Yeah. Not too many people do hacking so it's a bummer.
The d-scanner is there for a reason.
No.
You're mixing tanks and you're mixing weapon types. Stick with one or the other. Never combine them. Power Output rigs are okay since you're still pretty new. It's when people who are ~one year old and still have to use them that things become a problem.
