SSX (Snowboard Supercross) was a snowboarding game made by EA Big.
SSX currently has five titles, SSX(PS2), SSX Tricky(PS2, GameCube, GBA, Xbox), SSX 3(PS2, GameCube, GBA, Xbox), SSX On Tour(PS2, GameCube, PSP, Xbox), and SSX Blur(Wii).





These three games defined my childhood, many hours were spent infront of my gamecube playing them.

I didn't get to play Tricky so SSX3 defined the series for me. So many hours spent on that game.

In fact, I have a save for it on my 360...I think I might get back into it.

I didn't like SSX3.
SSX On Tour was pretty cool, I mean.. playing as Mario and Luigi was awesome. :buddy:

My favorite thing to do on Tricky was to grind the rails upside-down on tokyo megaplex.

Also, the grind mechanic in this game in this game is fucked. Upside down head grinds? Yeah, sure.

I loved Psymon's moves, spinning the board around his neck and cutting himself in half with the board.

I'm gonna dig up the gamecube tomorrow and try to play again, I'm having too much nostalgia over this game.

SSX 1 and SSX 3 where the only ones I played. Me and my sister used to play SSX 1 SO much. She was always Elisa, and I was always JP. She always did a shitload of tricks, and I always went for grinds and shortcuts.

Did anyone else used to try and stay on the flat bit just before the finishing line doing little tricks on the trick mode?

Funny that a thread about this game just cropped up. I was on my bus to school the other day, and my friend has his laptop out with a PS2 emulator on. He was playing SSX3 and showing it to everyone. Everyone was making fun of him, and I didn't say anything.

I loved these games, played all of them but mostly SSX 3 and On Tour. On Tour actually had a shitload of good music, that's actually where I got a lot of the music I listen to from. That's where I heard of Death From Above 1979, The Hives, The Faint, Avenged Sevenfold, We Are Scientists and more.

i remember when i got the ps2 on launch day and it had ssx 1 the demo disc and i couldn't stop playing Elysium Alps as Mac on the demo disc been hooked on it since but it when i played ssx blur on the wii at my friends i was like WTF! all the characters were fucked up. I do still play ssx about once a month

Finding all the alternate passages and different routes in SSX Tricky was awesome. The best level was the indoor snow slope filled with suspended half pipes and rails.
