should we add the ability to pick up bodies and use them as meat shields?
it's not like anybody's gonna use bodies as meat shields, i'm guessing people are gonna pick up houndeyes and fling them around like pieces of turd but it should be fun.
we're also thinking of adding gibbing, except it's turned off by default.

Gibbing, if is optimizated properly, is always good (GoldSrc style).

Yeah, gibbing for Headcrabs would be pretty nice, it was awesome to insta-gib them in OF1 using the wrench alt fire..

its gonna be something you can turn on on the options menu, just for fun. it's gonna be off by default. and i didn't know black mesa was gonna add it or whatever.
Extra features to get extra fun, that's why it will be turned off by default, so nothing to fear about it fucking up the "normal" gameplay experience.

I would use them as meat shields to get past turrets and snipers and things, but mostly for throwing around.
If you make it so that you can collide with bodies and stand on them, chances are I'll attempt to make staircases out them.

It was in 2008/2009 if i'm not mistaken. But who cares ? They leaked our shitty and totally unfinished work, including 50% of stupid place holders.
Honestly, the fact that you guys changed so much after the initial announcement is a big plus in my book. You turned OP42, a mod that was pretty much a massive joke within the HL2 modding scene into a mod that has the potential to be one of the best mods of 2012, and that's worth double the appraisal.
All I know is that on the release day of OF2, I will be refreshing the ModDB and the website page all day and all night looking for the big green download button.
Can't wait for the mod.
I'm a console player primarily, but I think I'm gonna get Half Life 2 Ep.2 (or whatever the requirement is) just for this.
