Ehh, personally I think the texture job could do with a little more wear and tear, not like a whole lot but just a bit of scratches and wear and the like, it looks too immaculate as it is currently.

well not only it has literally the same amount of grunge as the smg2, but it's army equipment. trained soldiers use it. they clean their guns. etc etc etc.

That rocket launcher looks like it was assembled seconds ago in a clean room in a factory somewhere very carefully by robots.

even the best maintained military equipment still has chipped paint and scratches on it from being handled, transported, used, etc.

It doesn't have to look like it's been thrown against walls for every second of its existance, just some more detail so the textures don't look like flat colors. Selector switch markings, instructions on how to use it printed on the side, "aim away from face" stickers, anything like that.

I don't think it needs to be overused as much as it needs a few little things, like stamps and serial numbers.

But more age wouldn't hurt, either. I mean this is a video game where aged guns just translate better then pristine ones. Some machine, storage, and transportation marks and scratches would be fine, and possibly some oxidation on all that exposed metal?
