Well shit. That sucks. The biome mod was my favorite mod for the game, I actually liked it better than Better Lighting.

It's the ambient occlusion mod for Minecraft. It was renamed Better Lighting when they redid the mod. (And the mod itself actually isn't called better lighting.
I forgot better lighting is just one of the features of the MrMMods mod.)

Well if nothing else, if yu really feel like doing it you could generate a biome world in singleplayer using a speedhack to generate the land faster then port it over to the server. That's actually how I generated this last world. We switched to a new one after a power outage and my computer crashing since both times it managed to corrupt the spawn position on the map. (This was before I started using Hey0's/hMod on the server.) It was about a week or two later that they released the SMP biome mod and I don't know if I ever got it working due to a couple of mods getting overly excited about health and monsters finally being active in SMP and causing me to waste nearly an hour trying to genereate some new terrain. And that was no small part of me losing interest in the game to be honest.

I may come check out the map later tonight. I probably won't be on very long though.
And betterlighting is decent. Depending on your computer specs it may make the game noticeably more laggy. I think for me it takes it from about 90FPS to 70ish. (Which isn't bad at all in my opinion.)

If no one minds, I'd love to claim the floating island in the center of the picture. It's by spawn and I could put notifications and stuff on there for new people and build a friendly village that new people would immediately see. :)

Unless Notch has changed the way time and movement work since I used it, it should still work fine. (Just a note, it does affect the server as well to a point if you're running them both on the same computer. When I was generating new land, it was causing my AFKKicker plugin to kick people after about 3 seconds of inactivity instead of 5 minutes.)

Whoops. That shouldn't happen. Might have to set the rate at which it works a bit lower. I think I was only doing 8x or 10x at most.

If you're willing to try it and can figure out how to use the speedhack function, you could try Cheat Engine to speed it up instead. (If it works on Minecraft, never tried it.)

Traditionally all members had access to the /item command. You'd be surprised how little griefing we would get, if any. Of course, normal members did not have access to items like water, lava, obsidian, etc. I personally would have no problem with everyone having it again.

In order to gain access to the more restricted items, asking a moderator or an admin was necessary. If you were bumped up to VIP status, you gained access.
