Try taking out unnecessary usb cords
Try taking out unnecessary usb cords
This is cool.
I liked the loop at the beginning but it gets killed by compression once the rapping stars
Dre's vocals aren't beatmatched very well also
Yeah the Dre verse is offbeat, but I think that was intentional.
Why would make something intentionally bad?
I don't know, I quite like it tbh
deltron 3030 is one of those productions where obvious laziness and marijuana was involved, in a good way
kind of like a madlib track
This is one of the weirdest descriptions of that album I've ever heard. I liked most of the production.
The original is far far better imo
He just didnt sound on top form imo
i don't know if you guys heard of jay electronica, hes fairly new and he is very very different from any other rapper, and its amazing. i'm sure alot of you would like him a lot.
check him out:
Jay Elec is already in commercials, don't know if you guys seen it
And From his mixtape "Cool Relax"
Finally, Jay gets some recognition.
well, ever since he got signed by roc nation, hes been getting a lot of exposure. admittedly the signing is what made me notice him too.
I'm not sure if the term "fairly new" can be used to describe any dude who's got Erykah Badu preggers.
i post rap nao
I actually heard Jay elect last year when Exhibit C was played through the radio in my city
I thought it was like the special they do when old school joints are played for like 3 hours. So I looked him up and found out it was a brand new song.
I remember when I first head about Jay in like '07, I heard his Sampler and StyleWars EP's then Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and was blown away. If anyone hasn't heard Eternal Sunshine here it is
He didn't drop anything for a while after that, and I totally forgot about him until I heard Exhibit A on Fight Night Round 4 and fell back in love. I really hope he doesn't just sell out with this Roc Nation deal, nothing wrong with making money, just keep making the same good music.
Edited:
The production was done by Dan the Automator, and it's probably the best production Del has ever had sans Gorillaz IMO. I can see not liking it, but rushed is that last thing I think of when I hear songs like "3030" "Mastermind" "Madness" "Time Keeps on Slipping" etc.
3030 isn't my favorite album but it's pretty interesting and underground fans consistently list it as having some of the best production evarr so I definitely wouldn't say it had bad beats.
uh i wouldn't say best
if we're talking about beats instrumental hip-hop has the hook up on that front
Learning to use Ableton. Wooh.
well meanwhile i'm learning how to use this new sex machine my friend bought from a yard sale
it's definitely a drum machine from an organ
GOOD MUSIC pretty much ran hip-hop in 2010, especially the latter half.
They have a pretty much perfect roster of veterans (Kanye, Common, Pusha T), along with newer artists like Cyhi and Cudi
And as cliche as it sounds, you can't forget about G-Unit. 50 cent was like the posterboy rapper of the past decade.
some loops just don't die
Edited:
referring to that freestyle up there
My friends brother is making a remix of Black and Yellow (purple nuggets), Sounds good so far, if he ever finishes it ill post it here :p
What about grime?
Anyone know of any good female rappers? I've heard a few occasionally in songs and they sound pretty fly. Any names?
Nicki Minaj
Lil Kim
Jean Grae
Rah Digga
2 NEW NAS
GOOD Fridays had me excited as fuck
 Yelawolf
Edited:
Also, MC Lyte is a great female MC
I liked Nicki Manij and Jean Grae out of those, i'm looking into Queen Pen and trying to find some Ms Roq.
If anyone is skilled at making hip-hop beats in FL Studio, preferrably close to the songs on Eminem's "Infinite" album, kindly PM me or something.I need advice.
Dessa
whos heard of charles hamilton? guy is crazy as fuck, but his lyrics are amazing, check out this song, he samples the boss theme song from sonic the hedgehog and turns it into an amazing beat.
check out his philosophy on life that he bases on the sonic the hedgehog game. its really crazy, but its kinda cool.
C Ham isn't a female rapper, he just wears purple a lot.
The hardest thing about producing music by far (to me), is getting a good sound. I have massive and some strings. The strings sound decent, but I can't make jack shit with the synth. All I made was a decent bass synth. I can't make anything else sound decent at all :(
get rid of VST's, get shitty casio keyboards
sound a thousand times better with the right work and the right guitar pedals
Are you being serious?
ya
trust me on that
if you want i can post something about it and help you out
That would be helpful. I would appreciate it.
