Pretty fuckin good
common says nigga alot
I was listening to I Used to Love Her
God damn, this guy is amazing.
How about you stop acting all high and mighty toward people who have grown up under circumstances you'll never have to experience, and start being thankful you WON'T have to experience them.
Christ kid you sound like you've never even met a black person before.
Edited:
Or have aspergers syndrome, I guess.
Take Care leaked.
Literally shitting my pants
the instrumental is fire
Edited:
Also Dan le Sac vs scroobius pip is more spoken word than rap. The distinction can get a bit blurry though
I like my nigga Drake music. He's my guy rapper. Lil wayne too.

SO GOOD
Oh no, I have a different opinion than TH89, I must be acting high and mighty and have Aspergers Syndrome. I'm happy I won't have to experience them, but what does that have to do with the word "nigga" in rap? Being through hardship should build character, not destroy it. Regardless, the ghettos in America are heaven compared to third-world countries and it is pretty conceited to think otherwise.
I have met PLENTY of black people. That still has nothing to do with the stupidity of the context of the word.
Edited:
If it is a long-term and complicated concept, it is going to take more than changing a word. It needs something more like what Martin Luther King Jr. did.
you want intelligent hiphop?
intelligent grime
Only recently chucked all my old rockist pretentions (aka long after I stopped regularly posting here) and discovered other kinds of music. Currently, the rap/hip-hop I've heard is generally of the late 90's/early 80's vintage - Wu-Tang Clan, Public Enemy, A Tribe Called Quest, that kind of thing. Good stuff. So, I'm now looking to broaden what I already know/like about this kind of music, and more importantly to get aquainted with more recent stuff, and I suppose this looked like an obvious place to stop by and ask.
What is your specific grievance with black people using the word, your argument seems pretty disjointed
Arguably reappropriating the word is in fact empowering and perhaps lessens its stigma, who are you to tell people otherwise
jeez who even cares? most rappers say nigga, it's part of their vernacular, it clearly doesn't bother them to say it why should it bother you to hear it?
I think i'm going to hold out listening to the whole album before release although I know I won't last.
This guys spits so sick.![]()

Big Boi in particular, his debut is perfect
Never got the Yonkers reference until it was told to me. I think the video's different and isn't referencing it.
Heavy D died earlier this morning.
http://www.mtv.com/news/articles/167...y-d-dead.jhtml
I was referring to the 'hanging in the islands, looking for earl like toejam' line
Oh man that sucks, wierd that he was concious then died only an hour later.
Isn't that referencing this?
![]()
well he says toejam so obviously he mentions that, but what else would Earl mean? especially considering the fact that he referred to islands and Earl is supposedly on the isle of Samoa
I don't know what you guys think of him, but damn, I think MF DOOM could spit on literally any track in existence:
I know you guys from music section like trashing my songs so trash this one for me please. Leave out the fact that it has bad quality though because that is obvious.

I'm black and I'm gonna say nigga however much I like, If you are mad about the word than your priorities in life are mixed up cause that no longer even matters, seriously, word holds NO weight.
im white and dont feel racist saying it but everyone else gets quiet
not gonna stop rapping to a good song or pause when he says nigga but you also dont go around using it to refer to all black people
it does have weight despite how much youd like it not to
I have no idea what he is singing about.
Aww crap I listened to a song from Take Care by accident, damn you rap genius. Rick Ross's verse is killer! (Well the first half anyway. It's at 3:30.)
