THE OFFICIAL QUESTIONS THREAD - v. NOT ANOTHER AR!!!111ONEONE!!!

Let's get the rules straightened out. Common sense, but this stuff happens.

- This thread is for questions like "wot am best gun" and "should I get this?" or "will this LiPo really set my $30 Walmart LPEG on fire?". People who post new threads for these things will be hanged on the gallows and fed to junkyard dogs.

- Comments such as "That gun sucks, go die" "you're dumb," and other related tomfoolery will result in social shunning, report button spam, and possibly moderator hellfire and brimstone raining out of the sky on your pitiful bums (not that I speak for them, but it's happened before). Save yourself some trouble, guys, and just help the newbs out maturely and do not fight in this thread.

- Once more, DO NOT FIGHT IN THIS THREAD. This is a recurring problem around these parts, and I will have none of it.

Now that we're past that, onto some tips.

Good, reliable retailers are a must when buying airsoft stuff. Courtesy of DarkSamus in the last thread (and liberally copied without many edits), here's a list of places you might want to look for stuff:

www.opsgear.com - This site is the place to get gear for your airsoft needs. They also have a small selection of guns but this site is dedicated to gear.

www.airsoftgi.com - AirsoftGI is basically the god of Airsoft stores. There are almost no complaints from them but apparently there Returns need some work.
www.evike.com - Not reliable on shipping dates, but they have a large selection.

www.wgcshop.com - Okay prices, Seem to have to get quotes on the price before you actually buy.
www.rsov.com - Brilliant service, postage is steep unless you buy in bulk, in which case it's the cheapest site around.
www.redwolfairsoft.com - Another Chinese retailer, good prices, some rare pieces.
www.ebaybanned.com - Brilliant prices, good service and delivery. The horror stories are from people who didn't read the on-screen instructions when buying.
Canadian Dealers
VelocityArms.ca - No opinion, Seems to carry a LOT of things, almost looks like a canadian AGI.
CapitalAirsoft.ca - No opinion, A hodgepodge of high-range and low range AEGs, doesn't have many in stock at a time.
BuyAirsoft.ca - No opinion, Hard to navigate, OK selection.
Mach1Airsoft.com - No opinion, A hodgepodge of high to mid-range AEGs, terrible site design and not many parts to buy.

UKARA/Two-Tone info:

Non-UKARA weapons are either Two-Tone weapons as stated above or even with a clear plastic body but i highly recommend getting the Two-Tone weapons since I have had really bad experiences with clear plastic weapons as they almost always break very quickly (and you can get metal two tones) also, dont quote me on this because theres apparently a crack-down on this at the moment here in the North-East but you can spray your Two-Tone weapon back to black after you have bought it because the police cant really do anything after it has been purchased... just dont be stupid and point it at them or there will be loads of armed police showing up.

I don't care who makes it. But this should be the first thread every newbie enters and I can't imagine they'd think very highly of us with a title like this. We already have enough trouble recruiting good members with Woot and his shit-fits and our tightly knit-comrade-ship.

Technically. It's not a Glock. It's a Glock-look-alike because Glock has this big boner of their "PATENTED TRADEMARKED DESIGN~" so they had to work around it to make it -look- kinda like a Glock.

I hear mixed things on Umarex.

Evike is selling KJW Glock 23 (The one I have) but you have to buy the Lower Receiver (With mag) for $55 and the Slide assembly for another $50 and put them together when you get them. (Easiest shit in the world though, so no problem there)

Identity bought a Glock from Ebairsoft, hasn't gotten it yet though.

I gave you a link for a fully black Glock in the Daily Life Thread. And it passed through Customs in less than 24 hours, so I don't think you'll have to worry about it being confiscated.

They actually make two versions of that. A .177 version, and one for airsoft. The only difference is the marking on the slide.
