...My god. I wouldn't trust you idiots to work on a push mower without crushing yourselves, let alone a car.
Jacks and stacks of bricks are not suitable supports, and when a car falls on either of you I'm just going to laugh and say I told you so. Get some jackstands and put them to use, they're not expensive. A pair of high quality 2.5 ton jackstands is only fifty bucks. My broke ass can afford four of 'em, you guys have no excuse not to have at least two.
I had no part in the photo, I was just laughing at him while he was trying to put the rest of the lift on his truck and that photo was literally the closest I got to it. I always use jack stands on the proper jack points when getting under my vehicles. Also I might like to add that he is definitely retarded but he only used that so he could move the jack to another spot. He didn't have any jack stands though, he seriously just used those two shitty jacks to support his truck the entire time.
I tried that with my truck. It just broke them.
Edited:
All of them.
We told him that like 20 times but he insisted it wouldn't break and some fucking how it didn't.
I run a professional auto shop. I have three sets of 2 ton jack stands, two sets of 3 tone, and a set of 4 ton. Like Hell Strike said, if I was in any position under the car I would have used them. I'm not an idiot.
When I am not underneath a car I do not use jack stands, it saves time and is perfectly safe. If the car fell I would have been in no danger and besides a few banged knuckles nobody got hurt when I did my big brake upgrade.
Stop being patronizing, you're a dick.
I couldn't have summed it up any better, I use all of the proper equipment when needed and I buy it because that is the cost of doing your own work properly. I only posted the picture to be funny since it's been on my phone for a while. I don't run an auto shop though.
