They gave me an answer pretty quickly when I had a question about the buddy keys.

I don't see why that would stop you from running the launcher.
Probably a bug. Try contacting tech support.

I have found a way that's worth the try.
Look for the Launchpad.ini file
Find these
webapp=http://launch.soe.com/lp3/index.html
digestURL=http://manifest.patch.station.sony.com/patch/manifest/launchpad/launchpad-all/lp3-dcuo-live.soe
And replaced them with the following lines:
webapp=http://launcher.station.sony.com/lp3/index.html
digestURL=http://soecontent.station.sony.com/patch/digest/launchpad/launchpad-release/live/launchpad.soe

There's a buddy code system that allows a person to play for a limited amount of time (and probably have limitations in money and items as well). For as far as I'm aware of no one in this thread has any codes though, I certainly don't.
Sorry, but until there's a free trial out you'll either have to go around looking for buddy codes or just buy the game. :frown:

If there's some sort of reporting system, you'll probably end up having the character deleted or something.

They're probably just referring to the "Solo-Instance" type things, where after the quest chain you are sent into a warehouse, hospital, etc. to defeat the villain/hero that accompanied the chain. You can bring people into these that are in your group, but they are easily solo-able.

Kay, finally worked after 50 tries.
Did vault for the first time, found 2 costume hats and Joker's jetpack. Kinda cool that you can change your travel power with items, now i have acrobatics and flying :buddy:

Go to the main place, Villain - Doom place, Hero - Watch Tower
There should be a room in there where you can re-roll your shit. Might be able to respec there.

I haven't been able to play enough of DCUO recently. This is what I don't like about subscription games, I pay for it even when I'm not playing it. Still going to get on later and level up my main a bit.

Okay i think i fixed it now. The headache and the fact that i was REALLY tired probably contributed to the way i realised that i needed to uninstall my current version of flash to get a proper version.
(That and the way my brother told me those exact things) Well i think it works now it's just that it patches SOOOOOO slow.
I've been waiting for a little more than 6 hours now and i've gotten 7 gigs down so far. It's really slowing down my computer and the internet in the entire apartment
Well well. It's working i dont have a headache anymore and i can accually relax knowing that it's working so yay!

Got tired of trying to do a quest and a group of enemies attack you because they cant 1v1

Level 30s hanging out in the beginning quest zones are pretty cool guys.

Oh man today, there was this group of maybe 8, with a level 21 hanging around the level 12 zone. They would nearly get crushed by a smaller group of lower levels. Shit was pretty fun but annoying at the same time.

Also the titans are easy to defeat at least for a fire staff user

I got KOed maybe 3 or 4 times as a level 8 ice character trying to do it, yet completely rolled them all without being KOed once when I redid it on my level 7 fire character (Both dual wielding).

Me and my brother can't even play this game now. It's OK in some areas but most with other players / npc's is so unbelievably fucking laggy that we just leave.

Psshhhh, PvP servers are easy. I've beaten people 3 levels higher than me in a 1 on 1.
Then 2 of the same level ganged up on me, beat them both. I think it's because i'm immolation which is mainly AoE
