Strange problem, really. None of the steam games I've installed on ubuntu will run with sound, except for Aquaria. I've tried googling but nothing works. I've never had pulseaudio installed. Help!

The games you are trying to run may not be compatible or may require additional configuration. A good place to check is http://appdb.winehq.org/ and run a search for each specific game you want to run with WINE and it should tell you what to do on the page for each game.
