My school has a computer basics class. I get to bring in my HTPC when I order the parts and build it with them. They're also going to assemble an old P4 system for fun. It's great to see young people who are truly interested in computer building :3:
If the P4 has SSE3 instruction set, you could attempt to install OS X on it. :3

It has SSE2, as far as I can recall.

    Edited:

    As in P4 introduced SSE2

Sorry for bad spelling, I'm on my iPod.

Okay, I played around with an ubuntu live cd and thought it was cool so i decided to install it alongside windows. Well I got to the user info page, filled it all in, but proceed was blocked out. Here's the fuck up: hitting the redraft button. Windows nor ubuntu will boot, my pc goes to a windows could not start screen. Now I gotta format the disk and reinstall all of my stuff.

You don't have to code your own desktop environment unless you're masochist or want to make something new. You can just install one from the package manager.

So, after I got my new laptop, someone was asking "Who here wants an iPad?" in history today. I said "Not me, I have something superior."

They're all, "Nothing's better than an iPad, idiot". This seems like generic content, but here's the spice: "You probably have a rock that you think is an iPad."

It's like they think the iPad invented tablets.

Correction : Some die-hard Apple fanboys think Apple invented everything technology related.

That's a yes and a no for my entire school. They're 50/50 on the Mac v PC thing, and most of the time both sides are pretty calm about that. But when it comes to iPod, iPad, even iTunes, they think everything else is inferior.

So in a way they are fanboys, but they aren't diehard enough to be members of the Cult of Jobs.

Well, you could technically make it yourself, but it's more install a GUI.

Smart mom... Harder to get passed lack of video card unless you have onboard... Or another one laying around. Also, she was pointing at the screen to show that she was going to remove the ability for the computer to display an image to the TV.
