I'm thinking the Which Camera thread is basically a general gear thread.

    Nevertheless:

    D90
    18-105mm 3.5-5.6 (kit lens)
    Sigma 70-300mm 3.5-5.6
    50mm 1.8
    SB-600 Flash
    55mm 2.8 micro (from 1979)

All in order of purchase. Then of course I have a few other trinkets like lens hoods, SD cards, extra battery, etc.

Ok new game courtesy of bopie. Imagine there is a fire and there are only two things you can take with you, your body and... what would be the other thing you'd take?

I'd probably take my Sb-600. Yeah ignore the fact that without a lens I can't take photographs anyway, but I'm so attached to my flash.

Well since the forum bugged and I got two posts I get to take an extra. I'll then take my 55mm Micro simply because it's hard to find a good second-hand version.

    Two things, eh?

Both ma bodies. I'd be tempted to take the 1.4 instead of the pentax, because that's worth more, but it would be a bitch finding another Pentax 67 in that condition. not to mention the emotional attachment Lenses are replaceable, old medium format? not as much.

    Camera:
Sony A100 (Mother gave it to me. T'was saving to buy a Canon 7D but since this A100 was sufficient for my needs, I decided to save the money for other equipment.)

    What's in my bag?
18-70mm kit lens (Lens hood and filter attached)
Sony 75-300mm lens (Lens hood and filter attached)
Sony 50mm f/1.4 (Lens hood and filter attached)
Lens caps for all lenses and a body cap (Might get another one just in case)
Reverse macro 55mm ring adapter (Too cheap to buy a macro lens)
MIDI cable (I don't even know why it's in there)
    Polarizing filter
    Shutter release cable
Hotshoe adapter (Sony's damn proprietary hot shoe mount)
    $10 external flash with bracket
    16GB Compact Flash
    4GB Compact Flash
    2GB Compact Flash
1GB Memory Stick Duo in a Memory Stick Duo Compact Flash adapter
    Extra battery
    Camera manual (Never use it)
    Microfiber cloth
    Air blower
    Lenspen
    White balance filter
    Some USB cables
    Video cable

If I could only take two things in a fire it would be my 500D body and my FD 50mm 1.4. Or maybe my Tamron 10-24 because old lenses are quite cheap nowadays, whereas that Tamron cost a bucketload.

i only really use the d7000 body
bodies from left to right are
D50, D7000, D3100, Canon AE-1 Prog (functioning meter but shutter wont fire)
    lenses are
    AF-D 50 1.8, 35 1.8, 16-85 3.5-5.6, 2x 70-300's, FD 50 1.4

why did you buy the D3100 if you own a D7000?
Also, I want a decent flash for my 1000D without breaking the bank. 430EX looks good but I'm not really sure if it's worth 160-200
d3100 isnt mine, was bought with uni money, three of them as well as three 70-300 lenses
some of the equipment shown here though is loaned to uni and used for surveys at water inlets, so d3100's were bought because its cheap as well as the 70-300 lenses. not 'my gear' but its here so why not :P

I'd assume it's because he can't afford to pay for an assistant to carry all the gear for him. Those MF studio cameras are fucking heavy.

Ffordes have a real problem with not updating their website when they sell products and still taking people's money. I tried to buy a Nikon D100 and a lens from there a while back that had been sold months before I 'bought' them. Took a week to sort shit out.

Two days with it and I can already say it's fully worth the price. I was at my dad's work yesterday taking some shots of the warehouse they use to work in and for closeups it was a bit dark, even bouncing it off the 16foot ceiling there made quite a big difference.

Get a 430ex, they're worth it. Mine has benefitted my photographs more than some lenses that cost double the price.

the shutter works on it and it advances film but the aperture is open on full so all the pictures turned out white. if someone could find a working lens for it from their online black market dealer that would be amazing.

Your SOOC photos all had really bad white-balance so I assumed you were using a point and shoot (and editing the white-balance in later photos).
