Looking at how cheap these weapons are outside of Canada makes me tear up, we can't import any weapons that aren't clear, so realistic AEGs are REALLY expensive.
It's better than it used to be. The G&G guns you can buy from retailers are actually worth the extra price now seeing as they come with upgraded internals and a battery.
Can't wait to see some shops pop up here in Holland, even though they will most likely be very expensive.
I thought I could bump this thread, seeing as there are some relevant recent developments.
As you might remember, the NABV, (crudely translated to 'Dutch airsoft interests association') fought, and is still fighting, to make Airsoft legal in the Netherlands.
However, thanks to the NABV, we now have the backing of the Minister of Security and Justice. It goes without saying that this is quite a big deal. The Minister has sent a letter to the House of Representatives of the Netherlands that he wants to see regulations for Airsoft. The Minister would like the weapons to become legal to use in specially designated areas, with the exception that the weapons and safe storage of them have been registered.

Thats really nice, mates of mine wanted to do airsoft so badly those idiots wanted to smuggle it in..
Managed to stop them before they gave the Dutch airsoft community a bad name.
Glad to see our goverment is kind enough to consider it atleast.. now to see how it develops.
-snip, oh god what, hate it when I look at the date of a post below the one I should-
I felt there was a need to bump this thread, because Airsoft now has become legal, almost completely, in the Netherlands! Any airsoft weapon with a maximum power of 3.5 J, no matter the likeness to real weapons, are legally allowed to be used on the appropriate fields and stored safely at home. However, there are still strict regulations.
You have to be a member of a Dutch recognized airsoft association, you have to be able to prove this, and you need to carry a license. Furthermore, you're only allowed to reveal your weapon on the airsoft field/association.
But still, yay![]()
Yay! Good for you, I might come visit sometime! (Swedebro)
I give you loadsa bbs and you give me a spliff and we call it even :)
God I'm so glad that airsoft guns in Poland are generally considered to be toys and you can even carry them around in the public, Well, at least the actual law does not prohibit this. Carrying a realistic looking weapon in the public is always a stupid idea and will get people nervous and you in unnecessary trouble.
So how does 3.5 joules perform on the actual field? Is it okay, maximum, or like throwing pebbles underhand?
Well 1 joule is roughly 330 FPS with a .2, you feel it but it doesn't hurt unless you're getting hit multiple times.
3.5 would roughly be around 620 FPS and with .2 that'd fucking hurt like shit. That's some just insane muzzle energy right there.
Edited:
I'd hope like most other European countries they'd regulate AEG's and spring action guns with different limits because 600 FPS AEG's shouldn't be field legal in any part of the world.
I did that once, and got lost in the woods.
Edit:
AW SHIT NECRO THREAD.
No, not really.

Wonder how long it's going to take to actually be able to purchase and play in the Netherlands.
Finally!!
got bored of my gamo shadow fox
WAIT WOAH HOLD UP THE FUCKING PHONE
It's legal now? Why the fuck didn't I know that? Well shit, thanks for the info I guess. I rarely go to this section and I saw the thread title preview(?) and I'm hyped to see if it will be sold for the normal customers.
orange tips aren't even really enforced once inside the us right? As long as it gets passed customs
fuck old post
orange tips arent required once you actually have the gun, you need them for transportation, importation and sales, that's about it.
Orange tips in Sweden does not simply exist. Only on guns that people buy from, like, USA or some other place, but they usually removes the paint![]()
