I actually looked around for reactor for no reason and found out it's been left out since MassFX can handle rigid body physics better and everything else such as ropes, water and soft bodies can be done using flex or cloth modifier.

I have to say, MassFX is REALLY fun, and seems to be able to handle a lot more things, and simulate it a lot faster.

Find some pictures of a diner window and add a bit of reflection, voila instant glass. That's what Rockstar did for GTA4 and it seemed to work well.

Somehow the buildings in any GTA never felt like actual buildings to me. I obviously knew they're buildings, but the windows never gave them any feeling of depth, just big blocks scattered around the city.

See, that's the problem. You can't just find some nice diner windows that would fit and "easily" add reflection. What happens is what STeel said, it just doesn't look right.

Then you could make some basic furniture (really lowpoly) and slap some good texture ontop :)

I love everything but the glow on the diner logo, It looks really fake and cartoony, to the point where if I look at it long enough it hurts my eyes.
    other than that it's brilliant.

I think it's mainly because it's too "bright" and because you can easily tell it's a texture, and wasn't actually a rendered glow.

It needs to be emissive. That's how it is IRL and that's how it would be in a game. You can't just use a diffuse texture or it will look wrong in the dark.

It would look right, but you would need some additional lights in order to make the glow light up everything else.

Massfx is stock PhysX 2.6. It's rather nice. Totally breaks rayfire, though.

For some reason I never had the patience to complete this tutorial.
For a cleaner reflection you should up the reflection subdivs.

Not the best method because of how limited these effects are for deep extrusions. Bump offset IS parallax, the UDK is just silly like that.

Obviously I can google something among the lines of "UDK tutorial", but it's nicer when I use the same tutorial someone already learned from and has these results.
