    Inbetween ; and #.
Not really My "#" is on the same button as number 3 and ";" is next to my right shift. But I found it already, it was next to my enter. It just fooled me that the ' icon was on the lower corner of the button.

To keep this thread from turning into "General Keyboard Discussion" I'll just throw this in:

One of my favourite songs by them and a flawless performance.

    Difficult to rate progressive rock.

I enjoy eccentric styles but think it can be musically inferior to conventional styles, but then again prog rock isn't about making conventional music.

Therefore the greatest prog rock music will be the most unconventional music possible whilst incorporating styles from classical, jazz, psychadelic styles.

Fun fact: part of the organ solo in the studio version of this is the A section of the Allemande from Bach's French Suite in D minor.

God I love prog. I used to just listen to modern stuff like PT and Opeth and stuff, still do and those two in particular are probably my favourite bands, but lately I've been getting into heaps of the classic and classic influenced stuff.
I fucking love Yes now, And You And I has become one of my favourite songs. I'm also listening to heaps of Spock's Beard and Transatlantic (who have an 80 minute song, how more prog can you get?).

I'm also in a prog band, shit is fun to write and play

What kind of prog do you play? I'd really like to start writing my own music, but I've only been playing for about a year and havenīt bothered with a whole lot of theory + I donīt have any kind of recording equipment. I should really get a teacher at some point.

Someone work out what this beat would actually sound like, I'm awful at time signatures (and have no idea how they work)

Surprisingly enough guitar pro doesnīt go that far, and I don't exactly feel like counting the beat.

Time signatures are pretty simple. The lower number (or the one on the right) tells you what kind of note (half/fourth/eighth note etc.) takes one beat and the upper (one on the left) tells you how many of those notes there are in a bar. So basically 4/4 has four fourth notes in one bar, 7/8 has 7 eighth notes etc. Oh, and they can be mixed up as long as the sum of the notes equals the upper number, so 3/4 can have two eighth notes and two fourth notes etc.

But I donīt know what the difference is between 12/8 and 6/4 or 3/4 and 6/8. Is there a practical difference?

The practical difference is how you count them. 12/8 and 6/8 are compound so are counted in 3s. 6/4 and 3/4 are simple and counted in 2s. Next time you listen to something in 6/8, a jig or a lot of Opeth's acoustic parts, where the pulse is clearly 6/8, try counting in 3/4 and you'll see what i mean about feel. You CAN, but there's no point
