    qc won't be the problem, did you just decompile and recompile the model?
    Valve tends to use left handed axes, which messes up recompiling, so make sure that you have converted from left handed. Otherwise just rotate the mesh in your 3d app until it sits right.

    Yes, I decompiled, opened it in XSI Mod Tool, moved it back a little then recompiled for Scout. It still stays on his face though.

    Valve tends to use left handed axes, which messes up recompiling, so make sure that you have converted from left handed. Otherwise just rotate the mesh in your 3d app until it sits right.

    What
    rotate it 90 degrees "backwards"

    valve use a left handed coordinate system instead of the usual right handed, which causes this discrepancy in orientation. It's kinda of annoying to compensate for, but only affects decompiling and recompiling usually.

    For whatever reason Pyro holds the Axe left handed, so you have to rotate it to be correct.

    I'm not sure how useful this would be. On the way down whack right click and out pops the parachute, leaving you time to shoot a few more rockets, or to land safely with no fall damage. In practicality it just makes you an easier target.
