My gear (Peavey Vypyr 75 and Ibanez RG7321 now fitted with Crunch Lab & LiquiFire), the amp is broken and the guitar isn't properly grounded... Sucks to be me! Also got a Hartke 15 watt bass amp and an Epiphone Thunderbird Pro IV, pics of them may follow if i can get myself to take them.

Beautiful guitar. They are better than Fenders in my opinion.
They were designed by Leo Fender, G&L was the company he started with George Fullerton (seeing the pattern?) after he left Fender and the G&L Strats are what he believe to be the ultimate design after seeing all of the things he could have improved on the Fender Strats.

I can't wait to start my custom "frankenstein" build, nothing to do with eddie van halen.. just in the sense that it's all put together using parts I buy or find wherever.

I can't wait to relic it too, throwing it down stairs and belt sanding all the curves and lines on the guitar.. gonna be shithot.

Here's the plan:
Using only ebay/2nd hand/oem/debuild/gift guitar parts I'm going to build a Strat

What I have planned:
- Alder or Ash body (most likely alder for a warmer tone)
- Fender style Rosewood neck, custom headstock hopefully
- 3 tone sunburst finish
- gold hardware (machine heads, bridge, neck plate, output jack plate)
- not decided on pickups yet
- either a deep red tortoise shell or a plain black 3 ply pickguard
- gold telecaster style volume/tone knobs
- relic body, not overly relic'd.. but enough that it clearly looks battered

Prs MM Baritone 6 string 27.7 scale silverburst :

I can do EVERYTHING with it! Currently having it in a octave lower setting on drop E equipped with an BKP Painkiller in the bridge which I did ship from england to germany :buddy: I mostly play my own music on that thing, covers got boring over 2 years ago for me heh!

Then I have this baby.... The prestige heritage elite (I got damn luck they put the wrong price on that beauty and I got it new and fresh for 399€ original it was around 2399€)

Two awesome acoustic guitars worth over 1000€
And so on..

I mostly play deep tuned groove metal (no djent style) more the slower asshole riffage style experimental :3: Writing an album currently and throwing away all the ideas from the past and all that.

I forgot to mention that I am only fu**ing 17 and I got all of that! Never had the money just didn't spend anything ever that I got and now I am going to have these babys forever! Also I am getting 18 on 14 march
I'm happy!

I'm aiming to spend less than £300 but a chunk of that price will be pickups alone. I want quality wood too but I also want it pre-painted so I just need to find an old debuilt part and hope it goes cheap.

I want the guitar to sound good but I also want it to be what I see in my head so I'm focusing a lot on aesthetic too.

I'd say less than £200 on everything except the pickups is my goal then I'll spare £50-100 on some decent used pickups. I really really want Texas Specials but my friend has offered me stock fender pickups with a single coil DiMarzio humbucker wired for the bridge, I'm not a huge fan of HBs but having one on the bridge isn't a huge issue because I rarely use it. mid-bridge is awesome in HSS though.
