Nevermind, got three to alternate between.

Frenden for simplistic minecraft, Quandary for nice, rich looking environments, and JoliCraft for cartoony minecraft.

Eh, texture packs are alright but I kind of like the feel of vanilla minecraft.

The ONLY thing I think I would want in a texture pack is something to change the cobble and gravel, nothing else.. even then the cobble in minecraft has it's own personality that can actually look alright if not used in excess

I actually liked the style (ie, the way it defines each block) so I made a little script to apply it to any texture pack I wanted to. I called it Blockcraft, for pretty obvious reasons :P

I like the stone, but I think it'd work better as cobblestone, because no matter how you put it, you can't make uniform looking stone, it just doesn't work.

So I reinstalled/updated java. Also tried the fix from the official thread. Still getting it.

Anyway, does the latest version even have a block/mob preview function? I really only want it so I can avoid opening the game every time I want to see a change I made.

Unless he's updated since the beginning of the month, it should be working. That's when I got the latest version and it works fine.

And I'm not sure about mob previews, but I'm pretty sure it doesn't support either.

I kinda wish I thought longer about donating to the LB Realism Pack guy. Decided to give the guy 8 dollars from my paypal account. After all, 256x packs, whether you love them or hate them, generally do take some effort to make, whether making textures or just finding textures online that would tile.

What I really like about the default texture pack is the smoothstone. I do not think cobblestone should look pretty at all. If you want your stone to be pretty, you better smelt that into smoothstone.
