I'll do a sweep of them a few hours, nothing really interesting going on in the texture pack world these days. Just "LOL SIMPLE" packs, "LOL CREEPER FACE PUMPKIN!!", fucking hate those.

Suggestion: remove packs older than three versions. I don't think Lucid is getting updated (sadly).

I stumbled upon a texture pack today which is only new, called SummerField.

Those of you who actively search for and/change texture packs regularly might notice it's similar to the 16x16 "Jollicraft", though I don't think it is a copy but rather gathered inspiration from it (the creator did give credit for inspiration to Jollicraft afterall).

This is actually the first time I've changed texture packs in months, from Dokucraft. I honestly can't see this change lasting long for me because the particular style of the pack doesn't work real well with my building style, but I admit am quite impressed by the pack.

More screenshots can be found in the thread

Didn't want to make a thread, I'm going to start working on a texture pack (this isn't my first attempt) and update whenever I get a few tiles done if you guys don't mind, please give me criticism

Here's my progress so far, just the stone, ores, cobble, and mossy cobble so far, I'll probably redo stone soon (I can never get stone to look right), and get some ingame pictures, but can someone give me a little crticism?

I absolutely love Tooncraft by Puddles, you might want to add it to the OP.
    http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/...ft-pack-16x16/

Also, you should remove the Xaiwalker pack from the OP, it's basically Frenden's textures stolen with a few minor edits. There was some major drama where the Xaiwalker guy was being a weiner with no respect for Frenden, who essentially created all of the textures used.

Might want to add Sphax PureBDCraft. It's a 128x128 (or 64x64) that actually looks pretty nice, as opposed to the usual grainy mess.

Tooncraft's latest compatible version is 1.7, you have 1.5 down.

That summerfield pack is very nice. Any packs similar to lucidpack or will I have to rely on the fanmade updates for it?

Are there any good post apocalyptic texture packs? I tried Last Days, but the fact that EVERYTHING is made out of metal just makes it feel weird to me. Is there some version of it, or a different texture pack entirely, that has the post apocalyptic style but more natural?

My new favorite pack is the Kiwi pack by Mango7.
    http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/...ngokiwi-packs/

He has two texture packs with similar concepts, but the Kiwi pack is way better. Plus, I've been giving quite a bit of input on the Kiwi pack, the author is really cool and takes criticism well. The screenshots are kind of shit though, so I took a few.

(That items.png is a bit outdated - buckets are more rounded a few other things have been changed)

He just released some Aether textures, I'm gonna make my own personal remix pack using/editing some of those textures when 1.8 comes around.

But oh my god, the MC forum whiners are acting like it was his duty to do the pack. So annoying.

Does anyone else who uses Painterly know why this happens to my vanilla Minecraft when I use custom Grass and leaf shaders?

It doesn't happen to other packs with custom shaders.
