I guess this should function like a fast thread, just post an image (or images) that inspire you, along with the photographer if you can accurately source. Maybe post an attempt to emulate a style in the Creative Photography thread.

I'm going to avoid oldies but goodies and stick to modern ones myself.

Tony Katai's work is a huge inspiration to me (check out his photostream)

That's all I can list off of the top of my head. Most of my inspiration comes from an amalgamation of one-off's that I happen to pass by on flickr or tumblr, etc.

wrong thread I think but...

For colour I get the "develop only" service at the lab which gives me my negs in sleeves so that I can come home and scan them with my Epson V500. It only costs $2.50 a roll that way, very economical

For black & white (not ilford xp2 though, that's C41) I develop it myself using a dark bag, a developing tank and my laundry. I then cut and sleeve that and again scan it with my V500, after I got all the chemicals it's only a few cents per roll to develop it myself.

Bruce Percy, he does some really incredible work in Scotland.

I live in Edinburgh.

I've always been drawn to the arts: drawing and painting as a kid, music composition as a teenager and photography as an adult.

My Photography interest was born out of an introduction in the late eighties by a friend that I've known since high school when he purchased a brand new Pentax ME Super.

The same friend introduced me to Ansel Adams work and his enthusiasm for what Adams had created drew me in. I was hooked.

As I've grown older, I've found that I'm much more attracted to the wilderness and the people that live on the edges of it. Photography is a great way of getting closer to the land and the cultures that inhabit it.
