That's the point. They switch focus before it is finished because people playing the game will finish it by themselves. There's a steady 1 % for most games. The focus usually gives 1% more to speed up the process.

They changed it now, but when I was showing this to a friend since his overlay is broken, I pasted him this which was what used to be in the wiki after they prioritized Super Meat Boy and such.

So this website shows that the % completed is moving linearly. Wouldn't that mean we have no influence over the rate it increases? If the potatoes were multipliers it would be exponential, wouldn't it?
