    The compilers errors I was getting the past few days was for using the NODRAW texture to "paint" the back of my world brushes. While having the "portal2" keyword enabled.

    Basically, when you have the "portal2" keyword and then you type "nodraw" in the filter, you get a NODRAW-like texture... which is actually called "tools/toolsnodraw_glass_footsteps" which is a translucent material, therefore not valid as a world seal for BSP.


    Really...
    If anyone has gone through the same **** as me I hope this post will be useful.

    AAH,Sorry,I forgot to say one thing in that page...MAKE a player clip around faith plate,or you will fall down.

    Are you using v5 of the fgd?

    What kind of prop do I need to make something to make it able to be picked up, or at least fall when its dropped? I'm trying to get the potato trophy to fall from a door, and prop_physics doesn't like me

    Are you using v5 of the fgd?
    No,I am using v4,but I just copied that faith plate from coop map,no more editing,just putted it in place.

    here is my map,where it works.
    There is some "????" flag in catapult,because Valve have real Portal 2 fgd,so they have all flags.
    So its different if you create it in Alien swarm,or copy it from Valve map.

    Check the FGD thread on the mapping section, the zip includes an example map with all the cubes on it. I'll do a minor update later today with a new vmf that includes plates and box droppers as well.

    I think the trailer had them use one portal gun split but other than that its all in game.

    When I get my hands on the official SDK, the first thing I'm going to do is make more 50s chambers. I, personally, loved the style of them.

    For now, I'ma just play around.

    After reading this thread I decided to make my own map.

    My only problem is. I can't figure out how to "put" a portal - able surface on a existing wall instead of creating a plate in front of it, so you can create portals on one area while the other part is nonPortal. Or could I just simply remove a PART of the Wall?

    I don't want to delete the Wall :saddowns:

    Just change model to "models/props_backstage/item_dropper.mdl"
    If you dont mean that Old Aperture Inovators dropper,it have different function.
