minecraft.nl is a Faction Wars server hosted by the Mr. Green / Left4Green community, for both Dutch and international players.

Features:
- Hosted 24/7 on a dedicated quad-core server in one of the best Dutch datacenters. The Minecraft world is loaded from a RAM disk which is a tenfold faster than SSDs!
- No rules! Everyone is welcome. Griefing / PvP is allowed and part of the game! (Cheats and client mods are still forbidden)
- Players can create and join factions, forge alliances and obliterate enemies to become the strongest faction on the server! Intrigue and drama guaranteed! Even though you could still choose a quieter corner of the map to settle down and start a farm if you want to. No whitelist or donation restrictions!
- Lots to explore! The map has been running for a while, and many factions have risen and fallen, creating a world filled with forgotten ruins and abandoned fortresses.
- Active community and forum, we have been hosting Team Fortress 2, GMod and Counter-Strike servers for years.

I'll have to try it out when I get a chance. I've always wanted to play on one of those "hardcore" servers that allow stealing and killing and shit.

Oh and shouldn't this be in Games in Progress.

No whitelist. Players can fight griefing themselves, since it's possible to build an impenetrable fortress. Unwanted players can easily be kept out. Other factions cannot build or destroy on your claimed land (only using TNT cannons or creeper luring, which you can build defenses against). Doors are also restricted to faction members.
Underwater forts are pretty much impenetrable. But of course building amazing structures on the surface gives more 'prestige' to your faction.
You can make closed or open factions. Just know that you have to trust your faction members, since they can do everything you can. Only commands like claiming / declaiming land are restricted to the faction admin and moderators.
Read more about the Factions plugin here: http://mcteam.org/plugins/factions/ . The only difference is that the max power per players is 8 on our server, with a minimum of -2.

lol I just walked into a massive fort by going underneath it

No client mods or cheats allowed. That's pretty much the only rule.

Big fight going on on the server right now between the Batman and Mungol factions. Lots of entertainment on the expense of other players!

What location are you connecting from? We're an Europe based server. Although connecting from west & east-coast USA should work properly too.

There are no donation possibilities yet. We're planning on adding Green-Coins support (and thus also allow donations). No ETA yet.

I'll be the one implementing it. The idea is that you can gain Green-Coins by killing enemy faction players or by donating (so either play a lot or help me pay for the server). You could spend it on things like additional power so you can claim more land. I do not intend to limit anyone's ability to create factions based on donations, because that's bullshit.
That mod addition is still some time away. I'm planning on improving the Factions plugin with a few features like blocking the "/f home" command when you're in enemy territory or near enemy players, so players can't cheaply bail out of fights.

For those interested: I just extended the live map with the Landmarks plugin. If you want your faction base marked, just give me a shout when I'm ingame.

We just started a new map with the 'gargamel' seed. The old one can be downloaded on our forum
New factions have been founded and everyone's hard at work on their bases.

It's a pretty good server if you can get a bunch of people to join your faction and play.
