    I began porting stuff from Portal 2 the day it was out, After an entire week of late nights and monotonous bugfixing, hopefully it will have been worth the wait.

    [release]THIS PACK (sadly) DOESN'T CONTAIN:

    Atlas, P-body, Chell, or Wheatley, because the ragdolls need recompiling or something so that they don't crash the game. I don't know how to do this.

    HOWEVER,

    THIS PACK DOES CONTAIN:

    Nearly every single prop from Portal 2, aside from a few ridiculously useless ones or broken ones, fixed for use in Garry's mod, and they can be used in Episode 2 for mapping too i suppose, since i tested most of them using hammer and modelviewer.

    SPAWNICONS:

    If the same spawnicon keeps being generated for more than one prop in a folder, just restart gmod and re-render all of those. If it happens it means your game ran out of memory from rendering so many icons, it happened to me a few times.

    If your game crashes whilst opening folders, then it's a problem on your side, all props that crash the game have been removed.

    TURRETS AS NPCS

    Using modelmanipulator, turrets can be used as combine turrets. (doesn't work for the fat turret)


    SPAWNING GLADOS

    Glados doesn't show up in the spawn menu for some reason, but if you type or paste the following into your console:

    prop_dynamic_create npcs/glados/glados_animation.mdl

    (requires cheats so it doesn't work in multiplayer unless the host puts cheats on.)

    She can kind of be spawned. She's not a ragdoll and you need to pull pretty hard to get her out of the floor, but she works.


    SPAWN MENUS

    I haven't created any because the browse menu isn't hard to use. It's not rocket science.

    I forgot to port that stuff since it was mostly just clumps of props or Episode 2 stuff, i didn't think it was worth porting.

    Just out of interest, what steps did you have to take to get the models to work in gmod?
    The hex editing method worked ok(ish) for me but a lot of textures looked messed up as hell.

    The only working ragdoll, that isn't an elevator or some minorly rigged prop to have bones, that works is the crash dummy in props_lab.
    All of the main characters don't work from a crashing problem, so until someone decompiles them and makes them spawn correctly in gmod, no dice.

    If I recall correctly after doing the hex edit thing and setting its' texture type from 7.5 to 7.0, you have to open up the .vmt for the model you're doing, and save it as itself manually, you don't have to change anything, just overwrite itself now that the texture type changed, there's a chance I'm wrong but if I am float will likely answer correctly in the morning.(for him.)

    If you change the .vtf version from 7.5 to 7.0 you have to do the thing Frankerest said, but if you change it to 0.4 they work without you having to resave them. I discovered this after spending hours doing the method Frankerest is talking about.

    My program changed them all to 7.4 and I still got texture problems in places. I must have done something wrong, good to see someone managed to get a lot of the content working in gmod.

    I'll point people in this direction, this seems to be a better solution.
